do user-made custom skins no longer work now that the game is not in beta?
I've tried doing it exactly as the instructions say, but I just keep getting error messages saying the file is corrupted.
I loaded up the game afterwards anyway and nothing had changed... everyone was still with their default skins.

They work.
If you have problems with some, try using instructions from another, they all work the same, maybe they were badly written, or you misunderstood them.

I've read a lot of different people's instructions, but they all basically said the same thing.
just replace the character.dds with the newskin.dds, right? it's not so complicated.

do you know where I could find some really clear instructions, then?

it turns out the problem was that I was using winRAR instead of 7zip. nothing else I read told me to use 7zip.
