The patcher will restart several times during the first patch to update itself. As long as you don't run it again while it is updating itself it should complete successfully. If it disappears and doesn't come back for over a minute try running it again.

If your download speeds are slow try turning off p2p downloads in the options screen and then restart the patcher. It should pick up right where it left off.

just installed the game. After each update the lol.launcher freeze.
Fixed by closing the luncher after each update and it start on next update when reopen

This is my log. When I run patcher, window appears and after few minutes I got message Cannot connect to Network, and Launcher closes

I tried to install the game, but the patcher won't work. After the installation I executed the launcher, but it just stopped after download was 100%.

As you can see, I tried to leave it for about 20 minutes before closing it.

Then I opened it again, and it just stopped again, this time blocked on the "Retrieving information info" bit. Log:
I tried closing it. When I reopened the launcher, it was the graphic one. Yup, the previous two were the more simple patchers.
But it just blocked exactly at the same bit: "Retrieving version information...".

I then decided to uninstall, restart and install the game again.

After the installation, the patcher started, downloaded the update, restarted itself and then...stopped exactly at "Retrieving version information...". Log:
Setting "PatchEULAAccepted=1" in the launcher_options.ini didn't work for me.

I have windows xp professional SP2, I could even post my pc specs if you need them.

Let me know ASAP, I really wanted to give this game a try D:

PS: Just to let you know, after 15 minutes it still didn't move...and I'm not downloading anything, I'm just here on the forums.


EDIT: I tried to close my firewall (even if the launcher had access granted to the system and network) and it got unstuck...just to close itself the very moment after it retrieved the version information (or so I guess, as is a matter of instants). I tried waiting for a minute, then restarted, but the same happened. Then again, another minute, another restart...the same.
While I was browsing the patcher's log, it just started itself...but it was the graphic version, which managed to update itself more than once, and is now downloading the 400mb patch. I'll let you know what happens.

I'm getting the error "Program cannot display the webpage", a few seconds after which the launcher closes itself again. The error message is not coming from within the program, but is formatted as a general windows error message. The log is as follows:

Is the 400Mb update normal?
What should the total size of the Client + updates be?
It looks like it's gonna total around 736mb

This fixed it for me! I am running windows vista x64 ultimate and just updated my x64 internet explorer in one of their recent patches and couldn't even see what I assume was the EULA acceptance page for the Patches. It worked and bypassed the blank page for me after trying this. Thank you HappyNihil!
