-an option to put a countdown timer on the icons rather than the depleting pie.
-some indication on how long the cooldown time of summoner spells are.

unrelated to UI?
-something that can help define your hero in big fights. i find it hard to keep track of Annie at times. i saw a post that suggest a gold outline of sorts, one that only you would see.

I really like both of your suggestion, I like your first one the most. That would be a great implementation.
