OK wtf is wrong with Rammus Collision Detection

Ok I have been playing rammus for a little bit since he is free. Sometimes when I use powerball it will not detect the collision and I will still be rolling. I have to roll away and try again this is extremely frustrating in fights because I have lost valuable time attacking. Riot explain yourself.

It is strategy because I want a way to avoid this plus this is the only thread anyone goes to and I want to know if anyone else is having problems.

If u just rightclick an enemy, you most likely will not hit him (and can't attack in this stance).
U gotta rightclick the area behind ur target, as if u would roll through him.
