This afternoon a number of our players ran into issues that prevented them from logging into the community site and forums. We are still working on fixing this bug, but while we work on it, we wanted to let people login to the forums.

Q: What is affected?
A: This only affects forum login, players can login to the game and play normally.

Q: Who is affected?
A: Only some people are having issues logging into the community site and forums, most can login and post normally.

Q: How do I know if I’m affected?
A: If you receive an error that says “Your account does not have a summoner” or “Password and Account Name combination not recognized” when trying to login to the community site here.

Q: What do I do if I’m affected?
A: Account management is no longer under maintenance. We recommend resetting passwords using account management, as it will be much faster than processing requests through email.

Players can recover their passwords by following the instructions on this site:

Please email support@riotgames.com if you continue to have issues with your account after resetting your password.

Q: Is my information/password secure?
A: Yes. Right now it’s a bit too secure actually. We hash your password and the bug is with comparing what you entered with what is stored.

i can get on the sit but i cant play any games, not even practice games. what should i do about this? has anyone else been having this problem?

To the "Are you serious guy".

Any halfway professional site doesn't use MD5, it's heavily outdated.

Also, they store an encrypted version of your password, they're having trouble decrypting it.
