Knockups, taunts, stuns are my favorite.

Sword of the Divine is the best counter if your yi, xin, or trynadamere.

Sword of Divine is the best way, because he won't be able to dodge. This increases damage and doesn't proc his stun.

Depending on where you are in the game, early game he does more Magic damage so Magic Resist may be helpful. Later game he seems to use his auto attack - so armor may be helpful.

Ignite 1 second after he ults. Dead trynd.

Ontopic: Jax is one of the worst champions in the game, removal of dodge items and repeated nerfs make him a champion that requires 100% perfect play and even then can still get shutdown easy

Burst damage hit and run CASTERS (kass, annie, ryze), cc (as with all champs), and sword of the divine passive. He cant dodge and armor pen. Works if your a yi, tyrn, or ad sion long as no one else is attacking him to build his stun.
