If there was just a nice little button perhaps in the bottom right next to or under the menu button for your buddy list, that would be useful.

Ofcourse a whisper system would have to be implemented.

it really sucks that oyu need to alt+tab for your buddy list. maybe implement the PvP.net into the game client like steam itself into it's games?
