I usually build the Ninja Tabi, Rageblade, and Gunblade as his core, the Rageblade syncs nicely with his ult, the Gunblade gives very nice AP/AD for attack, Vamp/Lifesteal for fighting survivability PLUS much needed CC.
After that I'd like to say most items are preference/situational, maybe a Thornmail if the enemy has a lot of physical DPS, a Quicksilver if they have Mage/CC, Rylai's is my normal continuation to further mend Jax's lack of CC.
