If you look closely at the picture you can see the headline "tragic death of orianna.... daughter of famed inve..."

Then you can also see a picture of a girl that looks a lot like the sketch of the robot girl. This most likely means that orianna dies, and her father, a famous inventor, recreates her in a robot, most likely losing his life or getting stuck in the pet ball in the process.
