That doesn't stop one from rebooting their router (if dynamic) or using a proxy. Welcome to reality, where static IP addresses are thin and IP bans are extremely easy to bypass.
I've noticed that the feared "IP BAN" is used on a bunch of F2P games to scare people like the old "BAN" phrase used to.
