NOT ALL DERVISHES ARE WHIRLING (Turkish mehlevi) or ROGUES (in the Somali Muslim Dervish State), only some and those two categories don't even overlap in terms of ethnicity and occupations (if we don't count religious commitment).

The same way Lissandra is NOT an Iranian name but a corruption of the female form of Greek Lysandros (not withstanding the Graeco-Aryan hypothesis or that Greeks and Iranians speak different Indo-European languages).

Moreover, due to you knee-jerk demand for accuracy for the ice dervish, is Olaf's design an ACCURATE portrayal of the Norse, Norman, Dane, Swede, or even Varangian Rus warriors (hey what? Those are Vikings too?), known collectively to us as Vikings. Do Olafs horned helmet "make sense" for real Vikings when it could easily injure fellow warriors?

I was not trying to insult your intelligence or suggest you did not know what you were talking about. I merely wanted to offer ideas to your champion and show my interest. I am anxiously awaiting Liss's arrival into Lol, and as per the champ creations I have read so far in regards to her, so far yours excels where theirs fails hard. I agree with you 100% that not all things are exact e.g. not all dervishes represent the whirlwind concept in their fighting style. I feel bad that I upset you to that point, I truly hope your Liss becomes real and hope that you can come to understand that I am not merely a psuedo-intellectual but a man trying to bounce ideas and find reasoning for why you chose the spells you did. I appreciate your explanations and I am glad you are so well researched in your champion, I cry your pardon.

My apologies for Moby the White because I've got too fired up.

I've just made some buffs for Lissandra, since I realize for the sake of balancing, I've made her too weak:

Major increases on her base Hoarfrost's shield and Glaze's heal (the scaling remains the same).

Missing Health Threshold increased to 75/175/275 from 75/150/225.

This is what I like most, Glaze's Physical Attack damage reduction now scales with ranks 15/20/25/30/35% rather than flat 25%, so Lissandra has more motivation to make strategic decision in maxing her skills to support her teammates against the enemy teams.

Lissandra's Shield now takes 35% reduced damage from enemy team, making breaking the Shield a harder option than killing Lissandra the Channeler, who in turn takes 35% increased damage from then.

Lissanda is now immune to disables during Channeling.

Rework on Glaze

Initial Heal discarded

Major Increase on Heal upon the Shield being broken.

I think that the idea of a Supportive Spell which Heals, gives a Spell Shield, Physical Attack's dmg reduction, and Heals again upon being broken is too overpowered.

This change to Glaze will induce Lissandra to use her Spell Shield at the right time, rather than just use it for Healing.

It also creates some trade-offs for her, if Liss goes support with an AD carry, she will have to choose either to use Glaze to block a great burst (e.g. Graves' or Cait's ulti) or Glaze her AD carry for dmg reduction, giving them some edges in an auto-attack fight.

. Moreover, I really want to see Karthus face when he presses R but inadvertently Heal any Champ with Lissandra's Glaze on.

I'm in. I'm dying for the third ice princess and making her a support is a real win for me. That said, I'm on Moby's side with the name. Before I read the info you cut and pasted from wikipedia, the only thing about dervishes I knew was from the D&D bard prestige class of the dancing, dual wielding sword experts. After reading the whole wikipedia page and seeing its a religious philosophy I feel like this character is neither. The name simply doesn't fit. As far as comparing them to Ashe and Trydamere, his argument wasn't that the region was wrong it was the name was. Ashe The Frost Archer and Tryndamere the Barbarian King are titles that describe their kits perfectly. Nothing about Lissandra is religiously devout
