The best way to prevent good players from being punished atm, is to get more reasonable, intelligent and observant people working the Tribunal. It'll only ever be as good as the people who put in the time to work with it. Admit ably it's not always obvious what the right choice is, and there will no doubt be mistakes, but those few mistakes can be worth it if we manage to punish those who're actually intentionally ruining the game.

I have been looking through the tribunal boards and apparently, there have been cases where 1 game has like 9 reporters. That is an issue and it appears that Riot is taking notice to those posts. I would skip them personally because it's simply not enough evidence unless in that one game, they were overwhelmingly easy to judge. More often than not, you need more to judge fairly.

I agree 100%, and think the tribunal system should only be used as guidance for riot, and that all cases deemed punish should be thoroughly reviewed by riot. Basically, I think the tribunal should only serve to speed up the discipline process by, rather than presenting riot with the gigantic pool of reports, present them with cases that the players think should be punished.

Someone with like 3 reported games and 1-2 ppl reporting per game shouldn't be punished. At least this is my behavior regarding to this cases.

if people use the below rule of thumb the tribunal will work. It definately needs some tweaking, like comments after you punish/pardon/skip as well as that feedback going to the offender so they will understand what they have done and why the community punished them.

Here are some suggestions:



1) leavers/AFK -- We should get an overall record for the violators. How many games have they played, how many leaves/afk's they have, etc.

If they have 4 people reporting in a game with 5 games or more afk... I vote for punish. I also look to see if this was just an end game afk/leave. In other words did they quit out just before the game ended, usually you can tell in chat. I would like to punish for first violation but that would be me raging since this one is my pet peave!

2) Offensive language -- We should be able to see chat after game complete too. We all know how many people really continue to rage here. This would help big time. not sure why people just don't ignore user, but this is a violation.

3) Assisting other team -- I look for more than one violation here. As much as I hate this, 1 game really not suspendable unless it is just soo obvious (ie: 0-30-0). I use same criteria as AFK unless it is extremely obvious as shown in ie.

4)offensive name -- ok I had a couple that I said "really!!" ... the one that really needed banned was kkk ****a.


5) Show how many votes for against -- Ok after we vote we should get option to view current voting results or go to next violator. This will also help us to understand how other people are voting, whether we are using same criteria, and help with better punishment, pardon, skips.

Well that is my $1 worth for now. I will add and delete as time goes on. Hopefully this gets some decent feedback and LOL will listen.

OP is lying. I've played with him before and he teleported into the enemy fountain 5 times in one game.

I think that unless a game has 3-4+ reports, it should not be in the tribunal at all, and unless a player has a certain number of reported games in a certain period of time, lets say 10 games in a month, they shouldn't be in there. Also, there should be a cap of about 3 per day on how many people you can report, so that you don't report the slightest disturbance, rather save them for the more deserving people.
