I just want to start by saying I am not saying the tribunal is bad, it has clearly made progress.

That being said, has anyone noticed that since the tribunal, all the trolls are now just trolling in ways that wont get them banned?

Examples

1. Mord that demands solo top, first item is a force of nature, good item on mord right? Next items, zerker grieves, phantom dancer and zeal. Feeds like crazy, ends up going 2-8. Cant ban him for his choice of items.

2. Nocturne. Spamming with cap locks on all game (possible ban). Dies in the exact same way the entire game (chasing one person into the enemy jungle even though our wards show 3 incoming). He also made a habit of ulting into 4-5 of them, when there was no possible way for us to get to him before he died, than raging in all caps telling us how terrible he is. He went 6-16. In this scenario he might get a warning for the spamming, but you can't ban someone for being bad at the game, even though he was clearly doing it on purpose, although we can't prove it.

This has been happening to me all week. Am I alone? Is this becoming common? If so, how do you stop this new form of trolling?

The first you can indeed do little about, yep. But the second one I would write up as intentional feeding.

Although for the first I would report him for being an unskilled player and an a**.

I find being an unskilled player isn't a legitimate reason for banning. It's like saying no one is allowed to have a bad game or no one is allowed to try out certain builds or no one is allowed to test their weird build against human players. It doesn't matter if you're pro, regular or a newbie. Everyone has bad games. If you're banning for this reason, then you're simply a hypocrite.

The only reason where you ban for an unskilled player if you know for a fact that the account with the unskilled player was his/her sibling or friend and not the owner.

Yes, that is also a problem, people using the fear of getting banned by the tribunal as a way to get their way. Such as threatening to ban for taking mid, etc. (also, not saying this was the case, but you canhave the best score in the game and still be the reason your team lost. I had a malzahar who was carrying, than for no reason decided to solo push top while 5 of the enemy players took our mid and bot inhib. Making him the reason we lost, although he had the best score.)

Big differene between being an unskilled player, and trolling in a way that wont get you banned. That mord for example, if you wannna try out new builds, go for it, have a blast. But ranked games are not the place to try out new builds, especially attack speed crit chance mord. This should be worth banning because he completely ruined the game for the other 4 players, wether he is just plain dumb, or was trolling.

Same thing with having bad games. The nocturne game I refered to, he would chase the enemy player into the enemy jungle. For 15 seconds (not exaggerating) we would be yelling at him to back out, he would completely ignore us, run in and die. He did this at least 8 times, and every time we told him not too. There is a difference between being unskilled, and trolling.

In fact, I've come across a few grey areas where the guy didn't seem *that* guilty or had a good reason, but after reviewing more of his games it became obvious this guy was indeed trolling, and trying to make it look like his was innocent in the logs.

Very sneaky.
