With the ability to rename rune pages and mastery pages, you should also add the ability to rename your friends by an alias so you can more easily recognize them.

It should list both their summoner name as well as the alias you give them.

Mouse over to see summoner name (alternatively to see given nick)? Currently folks on my friends list use their status message to relay that they've had a summoner name change, but ease of recognition is always great. Yes!

Great idea, but it's kind of pointless almost.... I mean, it's a really nice thing to have, but it's almost a waste of time. I do like this, though. Hope Riot puts this idea at the top of their list for chat improvements.
