the change to her passive should have went toward a new champion not changing how one would play a current champion

Morello should really look at this thread. He posts about Kayle and Tryn, but doesnt seem to see our point of view between the difference between the Tryn remake and the Kayle remake.

I played against a Kayle the other night who took heal as their first spell. It was fun feeding off her. Its to bad that your worth less and less gold after each kill.

I'd like to hear some builds people tried, runes, masteries, skilling order. These things matter and have changed for her if you are trying to do what worked on the old kayle, or spamming on hit items in situations that don't call for it you're going to be pretty disappointed. I honestly believe that in a few weeks Kayle is going to regarded as OP. Maybe I'm wrong, but after getting decent runes and adjusting to what I believe her new role is, even if I'm wrong about how strong she is, I guarantee that the forum outcry is a huge overreaction

But wait she gooooot so much utility with the increased run speed for a quarter of the time on her heal. Also dont forget that the splash range was increased LOL. Upvoted the OP, kayle is a sad shell of what she used to be.

Her old passive was only thing that gave Kayle decent scaling into lategame (and in no way she scaled better then other carries due to better AD carry itemization).

New Kayle has NO scaling steroids. And she still MUST get CDR to be ranged 100% of time.

I've tried combinations of attack speed, CDR, Magic pen, Regens, Armor pen

I've tried semi offensive masteries, and full defensive.

I've tried using builds i had consistent sucsess with on old kayle(those failed pretty hard), I've tried on hit/AS effect builds(madreds/malady) Those also were lack luster, but better then old kayle. I've tried going heavily tanky, I've tried crit builds(E bonus doesnt crit) obviously that failed.

Kayle is to weak to stand toe to toe with other ranged carries, And is easily bursted down by the tanky DPS meta(Jarv, irellia, alister, Rene) Kayle has no hard disables and when her E is up the lowest range of all ranged carries.

This means she needs to put herself in the middle of a fight to attack, but is squishy and easily killed. With no real escape ability(2.5 second speed boost is not enough to get away from all of the champions with built in distance closers) The loss of damage on every skill due to Amp from Q and the passive means her DPS output is just SO low.

The ONLY time Kayle is effective is when all 5 enemy champions are stuck in close proximity, and ignore kayle for the duration of the fight. Fights dont happen that way, and if all 5 enemy champions are going to sit close to each other id still rather have a **** ton of other champions then kayle.

The only way i see kayle being called OP is if they buff her above and beyond. And if they do that they will have taken a champion that was Rarely played and for all intents and purposes, balanced, They will have remade her and nerfed her into dumpster juice tier, And then over buffed her, when really all they needed to do in the first place is lower the cool down on E.
