personaly, I would rather see new game play then the same old defense map rehashed over and over.

Well for Garen. We'll see about his buffs this coming patch. If he gains more utility in teamfights then he may not need the brush in Dominion.

In fact here's the things I could see him being used for:

1. Silence stops an enemy's attempt to capture a point.
2. Spin punishes enemies attempting to cap a point.
3. Execute is still an execute.

inb4 nid passive rendered useless

Eh, certain champs are better in certain modes. Garen may or may not be good in Dominion - he'll still retain his status in 5v5 and 3v3 though. I expect certain not very often used champs will become much more frequent as it is discovered that they are good in Dominion.
