I was thinking this game needs a DoT based champion. Currently, the closest thing to a "DoT assassin" we have is Teemo. I was thinking a melee champion, a single direct select DoT. Passive makes melee hits done on enemies affected by a DoT (poison, slow, etc.) provide small lifesteal. Also, I was thinking about a curse style DoT, doing "blah blah blah" damage per auto attack and "Blah" percent of mana/damage whichever is higher.

We got Morde with his ult + ignite =P

Though something like Demonic Circle would be pretty cool in this game.

Twitch is pretty much based off his passive. To the guy a few posts above, Leblanc's W is similar to Demonic Circle.

Oh yeah, I forgot about Leblanc, I rarely see her in game. Rarer than the times I have died to Teemo's shroom + his poison.

But yeah like everyone said, there is more DoT centered champs than you realized Overt.

Brand's passive gives him a DoT on every ability. I think the character Riot was going for with the idea was Swain. He has a two DoT abilities as well as an Ultimate which is basically an AoE constant DoT.

Yeah nah completely dot champs in League of Legends would not work too well. Malzahar's dot in itself is pretty ******ed. If there were to be a champion completely based around Damage over time, i can see some issues with killstealing and alot of raging. There really are alot of dot centred champs as mentioned above. but most of them are not centred on it at all. If you look at the current dot champs. Like Cass/Teemo/Malz/Brand then you can really see how damage over time effects work. Most of those champs are extremely deadly and pretty easy to play tbh.

However.. depending on ratios/scaling i think it mayyyyy work. It would be difficult to pull of but surely you could just have say one dot that reduces MR and deals damage, one that slows, and one that deals AOE damage or something
