Yes. Especially the run around capping or fighting mid and then not defending strategy the rest of my team always seems to take.

"We have 3 points and only 50 health left on their inhib just d"
-3 people go to attack a point-
"Enemy TRIPLE KILL"
-game lost-

I don't remember doing a 5v5 AB, but it sounds about right...

Half agree, but also being a Battlefield player also helps imo. If you aren't playing with n00bs, then your team has an idea what/when/who to attack/defend on cap & hold maps.

The strategies, concept is still the same.

Knowing when to fight or run.
Knowing when to defend a point or when to sneak around and cap behind them.
Knowing when to hold of their zerg caps or just play ring around the rosie with them. Coordinating so that you can do both with your teammates.
Being able to read when a sneak cap is coming or where they're going next according to current map situation.

It all translates over, just on a smaller map with fewer players.

That's why I always fight my enemy on the road.

Does the shape of the map change the strategies involved when playing it? Or does it just mean you adapt them to the new terrain?

Having played the HELL out of Arathi Basin when I used to play WoW (at all level ranges), I'm saying that the strategies and action/counter-action I used then work very well here.

(It also helps that I played the greater majority of it as a feral druid so my mobility and ability to cap, stealth cap, counter cap, ambush, etc was very honed)
