Me and 4 other RL friends are going to be running a pre-made to test this Tribunal thing out. After every game we are going to report the same 2 people designated at the start of the experiment for verbal abuse and intentional feeding (2 most common reports?). At the end of this experiment we believe at least one of these individuals will receive either a warning or a short ban.

To add a control measure into this, neither of the aforementioned players will be playing ANY other games outside of our pre-made experiment. The players being reported will NOT be taking any action which could ever be construed as or related to their individual report to avoid any misconceptions as to their actions. Also, I feel it is important to add that we will not be goading the opposing team to make any reports against the individuals either.

We intend to play somewhere in the vicinity of 20 - 25 games before resuming normal play, I am unsure as to whether that will be a sufficient amount of reports but as we would be averaging between 80-100 I would hope that it will be.

EDIT: After a total of 23 games played and 92 reports on both individuals the cases seemed to have found their way to the tribunal, and the results of which were a bit surprising to me, but not necessarily unexpected.

Individual A was reported 92 times over the course of 23 games for Verbal Abuse, the result of this was surprisingly only a warning a email, no punishment delivered. I had hypothesized that this would be the report which received the harshest punishment as it is seemingly the easiest to violate.

Individual B was reported 92 times over the course of 23 games for Intentional Feeding, the result of this is unknown, original

Results invalid, participant B lied about the result

I would like to see how this turns out. Unlike other experiments your guildlines are clearly laid out.

It would be even better if you could make LoL Replays, so we can actually validate your matches.

Still, I wish you the best of luck.

We will be using our main accounts, all with about 2000 games played. I am the only one that has ever been banned and I am not going to be one of the people reported, but it is possible some of the others have received warnings they never looked at.

As far as I can tell it's about as controlled as I can get it to be, and the replays are a good idea, but my laptop would suffer from a brain hemorrhage if I made it run LoL and Fraps at the same time so I will have to check with the other guys to see if they are interested. Averaging about 30min+ per game though that would be somewhere around 10-15 hours of replays, if you have that much free time then god bless you!!!

Although you bring up an interesting point/idea Law, what if I, with my history of banning were to take the place of the other individual for a comparison study. Would one of us be banned while the other does not? Or do we both get banned/pardoned.

you know that would be a secondary variable, but i would think that is better left for another test.

Well...I wouldn't personally watch every match in its entirety, but it is just a nice thought that you have some extra evidence concerning your experiment. It will not hurt your case and doesn't involve much time spent on your part.

If it increases your latency by too much, I understand that. good luck!

EDIT:Btw, wasn't it not possible to report the same person more then once? How would this problem be solved, if that is the case? (I am not sure anymore...)
