i think he is referring to the offensive gg. it is respectful to wait for the losing side to say gg. if they say nothing then leave it. they obv had a tough game and want to move on. DO NOT say gg if you are winning. it is a slight, an offense, an insult.

in soccer if we get shat on or vice versa we still say gg

exactly... like at the end of the game when you shake hands you just say game... leave the good out of it if it wasn't a good game

That's poor sportsmanship on their side though. You don't see sports where the other team turns and walks away when the other player wants to shake hands.

If you don't like how people show they're good sports,then find a new way to do it and convince several million to follow.

I play sports, and at the end of a game, even if one of the teams gets stomped, you say "good game". It's a sign of respect. You are thanking the other team for doing their best and playing the game with you. You're not rubbing in that fact that you won.

As long as you're not saying "GG, noobs" I don't see what the problem is.

What we want is for you to think about how people on the other team might be feeling under these circumstances, and think for a SPLIT SECOND if it REALLY WAS a good game. If you honestly can't think of anything to say in that situation other then "gg", you're better off not saying anything.

You wouldn't be able to shake hands and say "good game" seriously with opposing football team who was beaten badly after having their only practiced quarterback get injured and unable to play (disconnect.)

Interesting note:

Saw a Dota 2 match were the score was 5-25 or something INSANE like that.

Team with 5 kills said what?
gg.

Team with 25 kills said what?
gg.

It's called manners, don't get your panties in a bunch because someone is trying to shake your hand after you did your best
