I think the changes will be great. People are just looking at it saying "Great, it's a casual game now".

I have to wonder, this is a PvP game... why does anybody care that the minions get hurt? The first few levels have always been the most boring, since you can hide behind your iron curtain of minions. They deal around 12 damage at level one, six per wave, with 1.25 attack speed. That's 90 damage per second if you manage to aggro all of them. Most champions level 1 nuke does around 80 damage, with a 5+ second cooldown.

This nerf is going to make early game poking/harass more daring, more dangerous (due to potion nerf), and overall, more epic.

As for the jungling, have you ever been too low on life to help protect a turret or miss out on a great ganking opportunity? Of course you have, because all but a few junglers are required to go back at some point (usually after first clear). So these jungle nerfs mean you, as a jungler, get to go gank earlier and with more health.

And sure, some heroes will be broken temporarily, but all the more reason to be improved and normalized in the future. (...That would have sounded a lot better if Riot weren't the ones in charge of the balancing)

As a game is an organic system, made by organic minds and allowed to evolve, the bad WILL be weeded out and the good allowed to flourish. This is necessary for a game's survival. Riot needs their game alive and well - selling out is something entirely different. Selling out is killing off a game, or a music style or what have you for a quick burst of profit rather than a lasting fanbase. Since Riot still has so many places to go and so much ahead of them (it seems obvious to me) they will not make any changes they sincerely believe are unhealthy to the game.

Secondarily, I think Riot's smart about what they do. If they temporarily fail they can easily rebound. If the game can evolve in a bad direction it can just as easily change back. It may suffer for it at first, but will learn from it's mistakes.

Think what you will about the changes. Give your feedback. It's what let's Riot know what's going on. Don't pile horse**** onto the screen because you're upset. That just proves that you do not care nearly as much about the game or about your own enjoyment within nearly as much as you pretend to.

Don't post witty one-liners about how the game's going to hell. Post your fears, your concerns, your true thoughts on the matter. Sincerity is what's healthy to the game. Sarcasm is not.
Very level-headed advice.

My biggest fear is how this will affect champions without sustain and how they will deal with sustainable champions or heavy burst champions in lane. Imagine trying to survive against LeBlanc or Pantheon or any other powerful early game character when you have no sustain and pots have been made (presumably) negligible.

But, we just have to wait and see.

Dominating 1 lane because of an ambush from an ambush from a jungler and executing it right for the the kill is a very important part of this game. That itself divides the pros from the newbies...

and the minions dealing more dmg on the lane, did you ever thought about how this will effect the close quarter champs who relies on small haras like kata's shunpo and eve???

you basically just took off haras in this game... I can understand the jungle change... but the lane creep buffs with the hp regain from the potions are just bad...

over all we don't like this

So many people unhappy with this patch, yet the chances of Riot not going along with this patch is 1 in a million...

I don't use potions, I use what my hero give to me in term of survival, and I think it is the real gameplay.

Again Riot is making the "playerskill" be more required, instead have a flash or a potion to save your bad moves when you try play like a god.

Great job, Riot.
"Playing like a god", You mean making aggressive plays?, I thought thats what riot was trying to encourage??, Well, you just pointed out riots flaw yourself.

First of all...

Emumu looks at new patch and proceeds to /wrists

Anyway...

Can anyone please explain to me wtf is this "Smart Aggression" that Morello keeps talking about? That is a contradiction in terms. Its like the phrase "Military Intelligence". None of these changes make for more fast paced gameplay. Every single Pro game that has been exhibitied live since Dreamhack earlier this year has shown that in lane Aggression has been calmed more and more every time a game airs.

Proof: At Dreamhack we saw TEAM SCORES that were in their twenties like 28 to 25. In the most recent live ESL the scores were in their teens like 18 to 13. THE NUMBERS DO NOT LIE MORELLO! Rethink what you are talking about in a big way.

Now we wont be able to allow the enemy to push a lane too much because minions can do a **** ton of damage to you. If too many minions come at you you are basically a one shot for just about anyone. Junglers will be more hesitant to run in and draw minion aggro, squishy DPS will have to frantically balance how much a lane is pushed against them and their last hits on CS.

Anyone at RIOT... if you are reading this... I think Morello is TRYING to get fired so that he doesnt have to quit so that he can collect unemployment. All of your attempts at making for a more aggressive game have created more PASSIVE gameplay.

Case in point: How many times have any of us taken down an enemy and killed them with only a little bit of health to spare... and we try to run into some brush but the minions take us down from that glorious 40 HP to dead because we couldnt make the brush in time.

People will NOT risk fights like these any more. Lets go to the Death Recap: 50% of damage taken my Minions.... errrr time to play Swain all over again.... or even Mundo.
