So I'm fairly new to competitive ranked play, and I'm still learning who counters who in lane. Last game, the enemy picked Leblanc and it was obvious she was going middle. I had remembered getting owned by LB in mid before, so I picked the best counter I could think of, Ryze, because he can get away with getting early defensive items to survive her insane burst.

I was wrong. I rushed a negatron and got it before she seriously attacked me. Then, at level 7, she bursted me from full to zero with her full combo. This is with a negatron cloak. Who the **** is supposed to counter her mid?

Kassadin?

Leblanc is a strong mid ONLY if you let her get a full combo off. Once she q's you, immediately run and do not let her get the w off. You will need to play passive until late game where her dmg wears off. CCer's like annie do well which interrupts her combo.

Morgana could work, Q her right when she tries for a combo and then pop a W under her feet. That and her spell shield will save her from a lot of trouble from Leblanc.

Kassadin would also work will, his Q will silence her when she tries the combo and if anything he can just R away from her combo, that is if he doesn't want to R in, Q, W and then E her and get a kill.

A burst vs. burst mid lane like Annie vs. Leblanc would work interestingly, but if the Leblanc's any smart she would just be careful while Annie's stun is up and then combo full throttle when her stun's down.

Magic resist early on really doesn't do much to her burst, she's still going to feel like a truck. Only real way to really deal with it is get a champ that can stop her burst and out harass her, too.

Talon should do nicely against her.

Kassadin and Morgana are always banned so they are not realistic picks.

Try wukong

Try Sion. Leblanc sucks at clearing minion waves so you can force her to her turret then go roam and do your usual thing. The extra hp buffer from your W shield should stop her from being able to burst you down outright.

Anything with Hard CC or silence is good.

Even more so than champs, items are the key. Merc treads + banshee's veil will make leblanc pretty much useless. Turn her 2 shot burst into a 1 shot burst.

ive found that ranged ad with some ad in the rune page can harass her down early pretty fast.
