Characters that are more viable in Dominion vs. SR are so because they have trouble getting their necessary farm in SR. While the first few levels can be rough on Kat in SR, in the end she isn't that bad at farming so her performance on Dominion is roughly on par. She's just slightly less dependent on getting early kills to stay effective.

So your answer is AD Kat is as effective on Dominion as it is on SR.

Well, AP gives you more burst which is probably want you would rather have on Kat, by boosting shunpo and Deathcap giving you that tasty 30% multipler. That is probably better than just having a bigger autoattack, which you rarely use.

Fortunately, fights tend to be smaller scale, so there is less chance of a baddie being able to interrupt your Ult. This by itself is a nice advantage to Kat.

A few weeks back I spent a while trying to figure out a build for this, here's what I ended up with:

Core: Rylais, Atmas, and BF Sword

You don't need a whole truckload of AP to make Lotus powerful (this isn't SR, nobody is going to stack MR against you or buy Warmogs), provided you go with your team and don't try to solo everyone like an idiot. This core will give you decent durability against the various tanky DPS, while giving you plenty of damage output yourself. Now if the game drags out really late or you get extremely farmed, you have the initial setup that allows you to add IE, LW, Triforce/Dancer, etc. Surge comes in handy here, as it gives you the attack speed needed to DPS before you can afford to actually spend gold on AS.

Is it a game-breaking, amazing build? Definitely not. But it's very fun and playable if you just want to enjoy a game as Kat.

I troll picked Kat and built her AD awhile back and ended up winning the game. The only problem is it's hard to build her when the other team decides to get armor. Another huge problem with AD kat is people get away from her fairly easily since her auto attacks are little clunky.
