Are you out of your mind? the 2500k beats the 8120 in every instance when it comes to gaming. Hell, the 2500k beats the 81
50 ($260) in almost EVERY gaming instance. I understand that you're most likely just repeating what someone told you, but for future reference, DON"T DO THAT. An I5 is more powerful than the best AMD has to offer, and cheaper.
Have you even seen any benchmarks?

Keep in mind that these benchmarks are for the more expensive 8150. Please, if you're going to post in an advice thread, the least you could do is give credible advice.

Edit: also, the bit about 5Ghz is horribly wrong, 4.4Ghz was my wall, everything after that was either unstable or produced temperatures that were too high for AMD's silicone.
