Must be pretty rare... every time I come in Champion Feedback I NEVER see threads with red posts on them unless they are necroed threads from months ago or longer.

Why does a red need to post? Season 3 items are going to increase the viability of many champions. Re-working champions before this mammoth undertaking would have been a waste.

Will the new items make Heimer good again? Who knows. We'll cross that bridge when we get there.

Lol no... Riot themselves said they nerfed him into the DIRT and that only a rework will fix him... in S1 they took him when he was already considered weak late game, and then HALFED his damage, nerfing EVERY SINGLE ability's range at the same time AND made ALL his cc worse; all because he was unbeatable in lane, which made him supposedly 'toxic' and 'anti-fun'. At this point, no item is suddenly going to make Heimer viable unless it says something like 'if your name is Heimerdinger, your AP is doubled'.

They gave him 5 patches in a row of pure nerfs that ripped apart every one of his abilities and destroyed any semblance of balance he used to have. They literally halved his damage across the board by weakening his turrets then taking away one and also nerfing his grenade damage, 15-20% range nerf across the board to EVERY ABILITY and to his turrets, the area of his ult's slow is now MUCH smaller with a longer cooldown also... a slower grenade with much shorter range and smaller stun radius...

He was DESIGNED as the champ with the squishiest base stats and with such low mobility because those weaknesses were supposed to be balanced out by his damage, range, and utility... and they only sort of were before the nerfs. His positioning-dependence and dependence on immobile, long-cooldown turrets for a lot of his damage still made him weak-mediocre at best late game, but because he was broken in lane, they took ALL of his balancing strengths away, leaving ONLY his weaknesses until they could fix him. He is TOTALLY outclassed by any other AP champ right now.

The WHOLE TIME after this, Riot said that he could not get ANY kind of balance changes because they were working on a rework and any kind of buff would make him unbeatable in lane again... of course this is OVER TWO YEARS AGO and they still never actually got to finishing the rework. At least they fixed Eve after they hit her 'toxic' kit, and they hurt her kit a LOT less than his (not to mention AFTER his).
