You know, that is not neccessarily a bad thing. Fact is, right now, everyone is all about profit, but the truth about profit is that there is only so much of it. Eventually, companies will push too hard in this direction and the curroption in the government will go too far and they will stop when they have taken all the profit.
Problem with that is that they will be the first ones to suffer for it. They isolate themselves from the lower classes and when they have all the profit and the system crumbles, their isolation will be thier death. Then history as it has always done will cause new and upcoming heros of that generation to rise up and implement laws that will prevent these things from ever happening and the USA will be born a second time with a second Constitution.
Honestly, you really want to make a difference and defeat these types of curroption and idiotic movements once and for all? Vote for SOPA. SOPA and EVERY bill that will ever be written like it in any way, and stand against anything that promotes justice, freedom, and value of life. Bring the country and these corporations to thier knees and watch everything crumble to be rebuilt right again.
It sounds insane, but if it is fought, it will take time and generations of people will suffer through poverty and hunger to accomplish the same goal. By feeding the fire, we can watch it consume itself in a matter of one generation and rebuild before the future generations have a chance to suffer at the hands of our current day plague.
I oppose what SOPA stands for, but I won't fight a lost cause. If SOPA fails, they will just try again until they succeed. See the bigger picture and find a way to fight that stands for more than just stopping this one incident.
