i think the problem with annie right now is simply her lack of mobility and your raw power early, in lane you want to abuse that damage you have you want to try and zone them because odds are, your stronger in most match ups 1v1, but currently theres alot of emphasis on the jungle, and specifically early ganks with gap closers (lee sin, shaco, pantheon to an extent, maokai) and they can really hurt her early power where she snowballs from, i think annies fine. she just doesnt fit the current style but all things change in time

She has AoE stun, and dmg. That's all, no tricks, no moves...

Once you go past 25th minute, she can't kill all those 3k+ HP, one MR item makes it even harder to kill someone, so all you have left is that stun. And seriously, that's not much...

She is a starting champion, so leave her alone.

You see she (like tryn) is an excellent starter champ and i think its great that peoplecan have those champs! I wish that Riot would nerf them a bit since people who continously play those champs past level 30 dominate with such champs. I would enjoy (and i feel others will to) if annie gets a nerf. Its just my oppinion.

She is good but she has too many trouble against long-range laner, like Ziggs/Morgana/Cassio/Xerath/Brand... this is why she isn't played much.

You will have a troubling early game with them.

Who does Annie counter in lane or in lategame that is a top pick?

She doesn't really. With blue buff they zone her rather than the other way around. She can't dodge forever while with the blue AP mid meta, they've got infinite harass. That's why her Pyromania zoning doesn't really work anymore.
