Could be interesting if the hookshot thing was a two-parter like Lee Sin's Sonic Wave/Resonating Strike... First hits an enemy and has a light tether on them. Cast again and you pull the enemy to yourself, leave for, I dunno, 1 second and you get pulled to the enemy. Or vice versa. And if you hit a wall with it, you're pulled instantly.
OR a different idea - target a spot on the ground (skillshot like Olaf's or just AoE target), and after it hits, it drags everything along the ground to you, dealing damage on the landing, then dealing extra damage per 0.X seconds. Thus, deals more damage the further you toss it, but is slow to return so its easy to dodge it if its thrown too far.
