How can I reduce my latency?

I recently moved to China so playing LoL is much harder.

For the past few games I have had 400+ ping and it was extremely difficult to play with.

Is there a way to reduce the lag? I closed firefox and other internet applications.

P.S. Also, I was wondering that when I use speedtest.net and pingtest.net, when I connect to servers in america it says I have about 230 ping, which is acceptable. The problem is, on both websites, when I connect to SanFrancisco CA, my ping shoots up to 400, but connecting to Los Angeles, CA I only have 230, like normal.

Don't live ina country where they throw their babies in rivers. Thats what I do, and my latency is fine.

Not their fault they are overpopulated and rely on men more then women because of blood-line issues and the fact that men get paid more.

Erm, well... it actually is there fault. If it wasnt for the goverment the chinese would pop out babys they couldnt feed, house or look after.

A country is its people, a country without people cant be consired a country at all. Depending on a goverment that systematically fails, Tank man would be ashamed.

It could be worse, OP. I play LoL with 700-999 ping all the time because I have satellite internet

So, trust me, it could be a lot worse
