Hello forum, I am close to having enough points to purchase a new champ and would like some advice on who to pick. After checking out some youtube videos my current top choices are either Garen or Xin Zhao. Are Garen's current bugs so extreme that they make him unplayable? Are there any other fighter type champions I should consider? Thanks in advance!

Garen is just fine. He is completely playable. He's not underpowered, or overpowered, he's just there. If you would like to purchase a new champion, choose one that you will use pre and post level 30. It is more valuable to save your IP for runes (debatable). I would prefer to say Garen, Xin Zhao is picked nearly every game I'm in, and is banned every game. He may have gotten nerf but I call shenanigans, he's just as strong.

Garen has a lot of neat abilities, like his ultimate (used to finish off people.) Aswell as judgment. I don't think his learning curve is really bad either. If you're looking for fighters (champions with survivability and able to deal moderate damage, like the two you listed) I would suggest either Jax, Udyr, or Olaf. They are very durable, but I think atleast one may take a while to master (I'm thinking udyr or olaf). Jax is a great start for learning to meele. Overall, it's upto you. If you would like to know any of the champions I prefer just say so.

Get Master Yi for 450. He pwns hard, and is the best DPS if you know how to play him. (which is not hard, just keep buying damage items)

Whatever you do don't pick Garen. His bugs are outrageous and it seems as it will never be fixed.

Garen if you play ranked, because Xin will be banned most of the time. I also suggest Jax Udyr or Olaf. Yi is noob.

Thanks for the suggestions everyone I took a look at the other champions suggested. Looks like it's a competition between Garen and Udyr at this point.

Of course. A good Yi does not go for attack speed. They go for attack damage. With my build I do 500 damage a hit with a attack speed of 1.8.

I am not sure about ranked games, I am only lvl 19.
