Yorick completely crushes most champions in bot lane, so he is banned in order to prevent needing to commit to a bot champ that can handle Yorick.

In organized premades at higher elo you don't really need to ban Yorick if you have someone on your team who is comfortable with a particular champ vs Yorick, but in pubs you don't know what your team is capable of, so you ban Yorick to make sure someone doesn't get stomped on and lose bot all match.

Makes sense. Something I thought of but is probably gimmicky: how well does Karthus fare?

@Den: Okay, I was just thinking of Yorick in a general contesting sense, Yorick solo bot makes perfect sense to me now. Thanks.

Karthus is tricky, because a lot of the most popular champions are tanky DPS, and many of them have some sort of gap closer. Because his only escape is his wall, it's quite likely that he's going to get jumped on and exploded. He's great for the crutch interrupt, however Pantheon is better for that purpose.

In terms of defending a point after death, stalling a capture for 7 seconds is good, however there are other champions (Gangplank, Yorick) who can do it better.

Is this a trick question? Once you get out of entry level elo, of course it gets better.

While you are learning the game, expect people to get upset for your stupid mistakes. Then get over it and move on.

Dominion is a completely different game. You will want to read up on it if you want to play seriously.

I find there is less raging in dominion because the games are shorter. If you have a bad game, then just click the play again button in 15-20 mins.

Also comebacks are always possible. we came back from 5 points vs 300.

It's never GG until u see the nexus health at 0. I've lost so many at 1-3 points and had allies jinx it, typing gg prematurely.

The best ban picks are really not so set in stone. Yeah, Rammus is almost always banned, and I personally will ban Shaco every game because I hate that clown.

I don't ban Yorick or Poppy, I honestly feel they aren't as imposing as some people would lead you to believe.

Other than that, I just listen to team feedback if I'm picking bans.

^ This.

I reccomend telling people at the beginning that you're new to the game mode, ask them for advice, what they might need for a good team comp, etc...

And, if they flame you for it, hey look! An ignore button! And report them at end of game.

To answer his question, though, most of it gets better because you stop getting idiots who go 2 bot for no reason or something. As people fall in line, the games get much more enjoyable.

Dominion gets a lot better after your first 30 games or so. SR sucks down there too; just inevitable antics of free games.

It's critical to establish in champ select who is going bot. After that, things are much more fluid, but the teams that don't talk enough to at least figure that out are going to lose to the teams that do.
