[Champion Concept] Pyrothsaux, the Red Dragon
Background: Pyrothsaux is an ancient red dragon of unknown origin. As a vile and evil being, it’s possible he came only to bring chaos and destruction to the battle fields, pleasing his sateless bloodlust.
Concept: Pyrothsaux have only one but powerful offensive skill - his breath. His role would be of a mage, disruptor/debuffer, tank or a misc of them (depending on items and runes). He is a very mobile champion and can use his Fire Breath + Napalm to make his foes feel what Hell would be. His pack covers a true dragon. He scares enemies, fly, breathe fire and a good use of those abilities can turn him into one of the scariest champions to face.
With the team keeping enemy team busy, you can put out the most of your breath. In a chase or retreat, you can fly in front of them, and uses your breath with napalm activated to create a burning slowing barrier, or just land and frighten them all with your might.
Design: His body is covered with dark red scales. His head have a pair of big and imposing sharp horns, inclined backwards. On top of his nose there is a bone spike, and smaller spikes are spread from his chin to near his ears. A spiked crest with the same colors are flames goes from his head to the point of his spiked tail. His spread wings are as long (or slight longer) than his head-to-tail-spike length. When opened (while flying or breathing fire/frightening on ground) it’s bridle shows the same colors as his crest. He talks with a deep, imposing and devilish voice. With the joke command, he makes a flaming smiley face on ground (he launches 3 flaming circles on air, loops and pass inside them when flying). With taunt, he opens his wing and breath upwards, roaring (in air, he makes smoke puffs and slashes them, looking to the neared enemy champion in sequence and roars).
Innate: Burning Essence
Passive: Pyrothsaux auto attacks burns his targets, dealing (5 / 10 / 15 / 20) (+0.20 AP) over 3 seconds. In addition, the burning target receives a Healing Reduction debuff (5% / 7.5% / 10% / 12.5%) that stacks up to 4 times. The "upgrades" are gained at level 6, 11 and 16.
"Q": Fire Breath
Active: Pyrothsaux opens his wings and breathes fire for (2 / 2.5 / 3 / 3.5 / 4) seconds dealing magic damage every 0.5 second to all units in a cone lined with his mouth and the chosen location (alt+click to change target location freely during the breath duration*). Fire Breath only deals half damage to minions. He can move and use other abilities while the breathing fire, but can’t attack. The initial burst is instant, but being stunned, silenced or feared after that interrupts the breath. Pressing the skill again also interrupts the breath. Being taunted don’t interrupt it, but sets the “target location” to the user of taunt skill. Can damage towers.
Cooldown: (9 / 8 / 7 / 6 / 5 seconds)
Reach: 900 length and width like Lux’s Final Funkeln.
*: Even though you can “move his head freely while breathing fire”, his “head turning speed” is limited. You can’t cover more than 135º in one second.
Obs.: Cooldown starts after duration ends, interruption or “turning off”.
Passive: The Fire Breath skill sticks and keeps burning his victims. The targets hit by Fire Breath are dealt (10% / 20% / 30% / 40% / 50%) of total damage taken over 3 seconds after the breath ends and applies the maximum stacks of his Passive ability over that duration.
Active: The Fire Breath gets so thick that it looks like magma. Every area hit by Fire Breath is covered with a burning substance that lasts for 5 seconds**. Any enemy standing on the area takes (10% / 20% / 30% / 40% / 50%) of Fire Breath damage each 0.5 second, applies a stack of his Passive each interval and are slowed by (5% / 10% / 15% / 20% / 25%). Targets directly hit by the breath also are affected by Napalm’s passive effect. After activated, the passive effect is lost until the cooldown resets.
Cooldown: (20/ 18.5 / 17 / 15.5 / 14 seconds)
Reach: Not used.
**: Note that the substance only keeps appearing in a radius (similar to Teemo’s Mushroom’s area) around the breath’s “target area”, not in all the length from head to “target area”. So, the player can “model and draw” the affected area to his own will (like a spray).
Active: Pyrothsaux jumps foward and launches himself to the air, knocking back enemies and minions arround him with the initial wing flap (simultaneous with jump). His flying skills, height and time improves with the ranks in this skill. While flying he is immune to popups, ignores unit collision and can't enter or see inside bushs. Being blinded or stunned for 1s or more makes him fall and be supressed for 1.5 seconds, canceling this instance.
1) Takes 200% more damage from ranged attacks, 10% base speed boost, +10% sigh radius.
2) Takes 194% more damage from ranged attacks, 15% base speed boost, +20% sigh radius, takes 75% less damage from melee attacks, can fly and see over "lower" river edges.
3) Takes 188% more damage from ranged attacks, 20% base speed boost, +30% sigh radius, takes 50% less damage from melee attacks, can fly and see over everything but Baron/Dragon lairs and base walls.
4) Takes 181% more damage from ranged attacks, 25% base speed boost, +40% sigh radius, takes 25% less damage from melee attacks, can fly and see over everything but base walls.
5) Takes 175% more damage from ranged attacks, 30% base speed boost, +50% sigh radius, melee attacks can't reach him, can fly and see over everything.
Duration: (10 / 11 / 12 / 13 / 14 seconds)
Cooldown: (18/ 16 / 14 / 12 / 10 seconds)
Reach: The “jump” distance is similar to Jax’s.
Obs.: Toggle skill, cooldown starts after duration ends, interruption or “turning off”.
"R": Dragon Might
Passive: Pyrothsaux gains (10/20/30) tenacity, (5% / 10% / 15%) cooldown reduction and each time he breaths fire, jumps to fly or lands, enemies near him are frightened for (0.25 / 0.5 / 0.75) seconds (targets already affected by this ability or the active effect can’t be affected again inside a 6 seconds interval).
Active: Surrounding enemies are frightened by twice the passive effect duration in a larger radius (target’s affected by the passive effect’s fear are NOT immune to this fear).
Cooldown: (90 / 75 / 60 seconds)
Reach: 450 (passive) and 600 (active)
