If you're a camera locker like I am, you would notice by now that the bottom team has a greater range of sight than the team on the top, Because the bottom section of the in-game HUD blocks the top teams vision. Technically the only players who are disadvantaged by this is players who like to lock their cameras.

As a result I'll sometimes accidently walk into their turret fire(Because I can't see their turret). Get ganked slightly easier, in general just have a Top-Down sight disadvantage.

Just fix this and make the view-screen more symmetrical bump the HUD options down about an inch, enough to actually center your character.

Some people will say "Well why don't you just unlock your camera?" Currently I'm in the transition of learning to unlock it, It's not easy to be constantly fiddling with your camera(especially when running away). Eventually I'll learn but to me this technique comes difficult and unnatural.

Try practicing unlocking your camera with bots, it took me a week to get the hang of it. If you can find me a good recording program (I don't want tp buy FRAPS,) I'll post a tutorial

Play unlocked, and whenever you wanna move your camera hit the spacebar. It'll autocenter on your champ

If you grew up playing real time strategy games unlocked camera seems natural. But I actually do like it being locked and soooo wish I could play like that because I hate having to manage moving my screen all the time. I do a lot of chasing and its such a pain with an unlocked screen. Right as the guy is coming to the edge, i have to flick up to get the screen to show him, but if he doubles back or does something tricky then my view most likely overshot and i have to flick back down,,, its so annoying.. Also Im less likely to be ganked with a locked screen because ive got good vision all around my char. The reason I cant play like this though is its just zoomed in too far. If I could just zoom out maybe 15-20% more playing with a locked cam would be viable for me and I would be really happy.

What thecakie said.
Unlocked is the way to go.
Tap space bar to center view.

But even more useful which u maybe didn't know, hold space bar to get temporary locked cam effect.. ;)

Use that and keep the mini map in view as best u can. Best way to see a champ arriving in case ur view is elswhere.
Very useful when back door capping in dominion for example.

Unlocking camera helps, but it does not solve the problem. You still have nearly 160% the vision/targeting range going up vs going down.
