I have started to worry a bit about the leaver penalty for games. I downloaded League of Legends about a week ago and I have noticed that I have a lot of fps issues while playing. I tried updating my drivers like the site suggests, but I am not sure that they actually updated (the date in the display tab of DxDiagnostic did not change).

Distasteful though it is, what i have found fixes my fps issues every single time is closing LoL, and reconnecting to the game. Alt + F4, wait for the host screen to come up, and reconnect. It has worked every single time.

I just had one game though where i was unable to reconnect because it said "the game is no longer available" or something along those lines. What I want to know is:
a) Is there a better way to fix my fps issues?
b) Do i get a leaver penalty when i have an issue like i have just explained?
c) is there a way for me to find out if my drivers installed correctly?!
