Hey all, call me Uni ^_^

I recently started playing because a friend of mine mentioned the game, and to be honest I have fallen in love. Once I get the hang of things I'll be very into it Just gotta find a champ I prefer lol.

Anywho - the other evening I let my brother play to check it out, but let him use my account. He left several games because he "wanted a fresh start" without heeding the warnings that popped up. He then got me banned for a day. He is no longer allowed to use my account lol.

But today while I was at school playing the internet went down while I was helping my bro eat and disconnected me from the game. Because of the previous instances I'm assuming the penalty was harsher because I couldn't reconnect in time (they took awhile getting the 'net back up) and I can't log in until 5/4 :/

I understand the necessity of the system, and I really like it (note - don't play with unreliable connections in place haha). But I'm curious if there's a way to 'appeal' for instances such as this. I saw the Tribunal looks like a place to pass opinions on certain players situations (but can't access it because I'm low-level) so I thought maybe there was a way for players to appeal. If not...that sucks :/ Just thought I'd ask though.

Thanks for any and all information in advance!

_Uni

As far as im aware, there is a automatic system called 'Leaverbuster' which will give you temp bans if you leave X amount of games.

Just be sure to not leave/afk out of any more games and you will be fine.

Leaverbuster is automatic and suspensions doled out by the system are not up for review. (Think of it like past the two minute warning in american football; no challenges but the booth can review if they see something fishy.)

Technically allowing your brother to use your account violates the ToS, so that's not really your best avenue... >.>

How suspensions due to leaves work though, is based on something called your 'leaver level.' As you leave games it goes up, as you play games without leaving it slowly goes down. Every time you reach the next leaver level you are hit with a harder suspension. If you play enough games without leaving though, you're essentially handed a clean slate. You won't be notified of your leaver level's regression though, as that would allow for some players to try to toe the line (i.e. leaving games when they know they won't be punished).

You can play games at your school?

That sentence confused me, as he mentioned something about helping his brother do something while the game was going on, then the internet went down, then... Yeah, not sure about that one... O.o

This paragraph is confusing. Playing at school LOL. First time I heard that. He might have been at school after all his classes if his parents were doing some business there or something and he was able to hop onto to league of legends. His brother probably asked him to help him open something and went off to help him for a second. Seems like he did not get disconnected for going AFK too long as he said the internet took a while to repair

If this was in the tribunal, I would pardon. Looks like he wants a trial.

I went and read the ToS, and you were correct. My apologies for not fully comprehending them. But that means I'll have to wait until Friday then...-sigh-

To clear up the confusion - I have two brothers.

N., my first younger brother was curious about the game, so I allowed him to play some on mine so he didn't make his. This was Monday or so, and due to him leaving the games I received a one-day ban.

Today I was at school (University) with my second younger brother, B. He's a good bit younger (about 10 years). He was helping me with a project going on in my class and this was before the class started. He accidentally broke his part of the project (a wooden figurine puzzle) and needed help. I went to help him, at which point the internet went down at some time (apparently this was due to someone hitting a wire during construction currently underway).

Sorry for the confusion...I'll make sure no one else plays on my account though and wait out the ban. Thank you for the prompt responses though!

I appreciate that, mate. A trial would be nice, but rules are rules and I am suffering the consequences of ignorance. Thank you for the thought though =]

Sorry to say, but even in the Tribunal the verdict would end up as a punish vote majority. Its not really a trial system but, a large number of people read the case and if the rules or code of conduct has been breached then they are required to judge by these as a guide.

If you continue playing games without leaving or being kicked for other reasons, then you shouldnt have any problems. The system is designed to allow for the rare system crash, connection failure or extreme event. But if these happen multiple times in a short period of time then action is taken quickly. Leaves and AFK time is acepted in this community and thus is cracked down hard by the systems integrated in the game client.

Oh and welcome to League of Legends
