If that is your definition of objectified, you're welcome to it, but pretty much every character in fiction is objectified. You literally just listed every single main stream video game character as objectified. Including the protagonist of Portal. I have no problem with designing things for their target audience. That you do explains why you don't work in the business sector. Personally I would define "objectified" by "made object out of". Seems a tad more logical than "designed for target audience". But fortunately I'm past pendants like you and free to have my opinion, so please go back to power tripping on whatever poor suckers you are grading - and yes, I could make even more assumptions if I wanted. |
