Okay I've ran through all the possible reasons I keep dcing. Then I ran through other games with multiplayer connectivity.
The three games I've tried so far:
Natural Selection 2
Dota 2
Counter-strike Source
I get about 2-3 mins into a game on each one, then get dc'd. The same problem I have with LoL dc's.
So this leads me to confirm that it is NOT LoL at least in my case causing this...
I ran in safe mode and ran three separate AV scanners and cleaned everything, then did a register clean. That didn't fix it.
I reset my router and modem. Didn't fix it.
I made sure all the plugs were in tightly.
I'm not sure why it just completely stops sending to the source. For example, I will be in LoL, I will hit reconnect, and it will NOT reconnect. I actually have to hit cancel, and then hit rejoin. This works EVERY time. There is no delay between the attempt of rejoining. So there is no bottleneck. I have a 30mb download speed... so I doubt that would be an issue. Even with spyware/malware, they are not going to use 30mb ds... I even tested watching a netflix video on my 2nd monitor, while LoL dc'd. The netflix video did not get disrupted.
So I'm going to ask a few questions and maybe we can identify at least the source of the problem.
How many people having DC issues in game (3 min dc's) have comcast as their provider?
Do you have a firewall enabled? I've noticed that my McAfee firewall says it's on, but it's not and when I Try to activate it, it instantly turns to off. Same with the windows firewall.
I'm trying to verify that there is not a windows update, or something of the sort... that changed things with our network. Where maybe it forgets that it was communicating?
