Do you run the same build order as Wickd? (sheen -> phage -> trinity -> bligewater -> gunblade)

I, like many others, have recently re-picked up jax realizing his potential. I was running the standard rush bilgewater cutlass then rest of gunblade then trinity. Just a few games ago however, I tried out getting early vamp scepter and revolver to deal with high sustain top laners like udyr, vlad and warwick.

Has anyone else tried this or Wickd's method? Which do you think works better?

Honestly I think it could depend on who you're laning against and what your style of play is, I personally do not rush trinity or gunblade.

Gunblade and Sheen are my core.
I finish Gunblade before Sheen however. I like the extra damage on your W,R, and the spellvamp.

I love getting Triforce, but I don't get it every time, sometimes I build a lot of AP (Rylai's, Rageblade etc) and turn Sheen into Lich Bane.
A lot more expensive than the usual Triforce build, but you get hilarious burst on top of a big health pool.

Thing about Jax is, you can build absolutely anything on him. Triforce and Gunblade are most cost-efficient though.
Jax's damage output increases with AD, AP, AS, Crit and even CDR (less CD on W).

Right. I find myself getting abyssal scepter often. My main question is the specific order during laning phase u get the items. Do you go cutlass first or vamp scepter + htech revolver?

Always cutlass first. The slow active can help you get a kill, and AD+Lifesteal gives you decent lane sustain.

Thing is, spellvamp only works with abilities, which cost mana and have a cooldown, with autoattacks you can sustain much better.
