Because of the way bell curves work (and Elo has a bell curve distribution, I believe) you'd essentially be making a whole league for like...50 people. The people in that area mostly know each other anyways and are well-known, so I'm not really sure I see the point.

Probably. I mean, the average Elo is dropping slightly more than it's rising, right? So I'm guessing that 1900+ actually is more significant...that's the thing about bell curves. If you feed more people into the system overall you'll see more at all levels...but the % breakdowns'll be about the same.

I think they should have more than just bronze/silver/gold/plat.

A few lower than bronze, maybe one more higher than plat.

If you watch any pro/2300+ streamer you will see that nearly all their games are the same exact people. This is because there are so few people with such high elos.

Lets say you were to make 2200+ diamond or something... what is the point; it applys to such a tiny, tiny fraction of the playerbase, many of which are already on competitive teams.

So your saying sense there isn't a lot of people in that range riot shouldn't care? i don't agree

thats like not asking a pros opinion for balance changes and catering to all the low ELO

From what I understand (I'm not speaking from personal experience, obviously) At the 2200-2600 ELO range, skill differences are smaller than a 1000-1400 ELO gap. Scarra alone has swayed like 250 ELO in just a few weeks time.
