Warmog's Armor and The Bloodthirster both have a passive that stacks with minion kills, although Warmog's is less reliant on building stacks all while being permanent.

Warmog's is for tankiness, generally requiring more sustained damage to kill you, and Bloodthirster is for damage/sustain, generally requiring more burst to kill you.

As a result of AP becoming rather stale, due to lack of item options, I feel like a similar item should be created that could be utilized by mages, such as an item that gives decent base stats as well as a scaling stat.

Stats given, in an attempt to make it appealing to either AP or support, could be CDR, mana regen or mana (both not preferred, since that would limit appeal to a large portion of the cast), or AP. Unique mechanics are not welcome, as that would quickly over complicate design.

Again, nothing specific; just bringing up an idea. If you would like to see a similar item made, leave some suggestions and we can try to refine one that Riot feels might enrich gameplay.

If you feel this is a bad idea, and there is no possible mixture of stats that could make a balanced scaling item for supports/AP, please leave your reasoning behind along with your downvote. Nobody likes a father that walks out on his child. You wouldn't want to do that to your little baby downvote now, would you? :c

Tear of the Goddess and Archangel's Staff already exist, increasing your pool and damage output.

True, there isn't one for manaless champions, but then again, manaless don't have to deal with mana.

I would like an item that isn't specifically for an AP carry, just as Warmog's is not specifically for tanks, and Bloodthirster not specifically for AD carry.

I want a new item SPECIFICALLY for manaless mages, as the builds for them are extremely stale.

Making any item that increases the power of any AP caster as they farm is ridiculous. All AP carries EASILY get over 150 cs, and that is a fast game.

Adding onto that would be dangerous, and then force everyone in the game to build MR, and then making everyone more tanky, and probably change the meta.

Slippery slope.

He never said the base AP had to be high. The main thing being looked at here is CDR and other similar stats that are simply utility for casters. Not damage. Making an item have scaling AP with minion kills would be terrible. I highly doubt this is what is being asked for.
