Thread.
Also, is this a good item build?
Berserkers Greaves, Last Whisper, Phantom Dancer, Infinity Edge, The Bloodthirster, Quicksilver Sash. Also, sell the Berserkers Greaves late late game for another Phantom Dancer.
Also, list the specific names of the runes plz.

I used this as a guide for all of that, as for the build, I would keep the Greaves for the move speed boost.

Last Whisper and Phantom Dancer should not be rushed.

Never ever rush last whisper. Its not worth rushing as the enemy barely has any armor. Your 40% armor pen will penetrate about 10-15 armor at max.

The generic ranged ad build at the moment.
Boots 3 pot > IE + vamp scepter > Phantom Dancer > Blood thirster or last whisper > whichever item you didnt finish before > GA, QSS, or FMallet. Get Bezerker grieves when you think you need it. Usually during the IE + vamp scepter stage. The last whisper buy is when your enemy starts stacking armor. The defensive item can be bought right after your 3rd core item if the enemy is diving you every team fight.

I like GunPewPew's runes.

I build: boots +3 health pots, doran's blades X2, vampiric scepter, IE, phantom dancer, blood thirster, defensive items and/or last whisper

The AD runes are questionable to say the least, ARP show much better returns imo...also generic Ranged AD build is varied depending on lane, if mid for some reason go with a Dorans first, if bot or top with a Support go Dorans, if Bot or Top without a support go Boots and Pots then pick up a Dorans or 2 and transition into a BF sword depending on how your lane is going.

BF > Vamp > BT > Zeal > BF > Inf Edge > Phantom > Then move into your last few items that are based solely on the opponents item builds.

Edit: As a point of reference the Dorans can and will be sold when your getting close to buying your first BF, so say you buy a Dorans then Boots, then another Dorans, obviously around 1400'ish gold you should sell the second Dorans and get your BF, also never just automatically buy Greaves, look at who you're facing in your lane, say you get Garen/Taric bot, instead of buying the mspeed boots you should probably look at getting the MR/Tenacity boots, if facing a heavy AD champ look at getting the +arm boots. Items should always be bought based on what you're facing especially boots. BF/IE/PD are what are called Core Items, every build should have them for Ranged AD carries. But Boots and anything after those 3 are really situational.

AD runes isn't questionable on Tristana at all. All her ability damage is magic based. Of all the AD ranged carries, Tristana probably benefits the least from starting with Armor Penetration runes.

By the time she builds enough damage for her kit really dish out the damage, the armor penetration runes would have been mostly underused for most of the game. On the other hand, you can go AD runes for a better laning phase.

No. You shouldn't be selling your second Doran for your first BF Sword. Because you still have slots open. Should just get 1650 gold and buy the BF sword.

Selling an item is a waste of resources. You only do it when you are forced to because you need the slot.

Also, the three core item of most AD ranged carries are Infinity Edge, Phantom Dancer, and Last Whisper. Will need a simple vamp scepter for the life steal.

The other team has to have the worst team comp ever for Last Whisper to not be cost effective at that point in the game.

I remember getting into an argument about this and other Tristana stuff.

Truthfully, if all you're doing is farming, then AD runes win out. But ArP has a damage advantage early game on players, while AD has greater damage on minions (which have 0 armour at start). So, because I'm me, I choose to gear for early game kills.

Except that argument only holds up if the champ as early game physical damage.

Tristana does not.

Cait does. So does Ezreal.

Most of Tristana's early game damage is magic damage.

Going armor penetration on Tristana doesn't help her get early game kills at all.
