The easiest way to describe Kyro's use of abilities is that he is a ranged Udyr as he ONLY auto-attacks.
Abilities:
Passive(innate): Element Combination: Kyro can combine elements to create new effects. When switching between abilities, new effects are active between the last element used and the current element for 4 seconds. This sets a 1.5 second global cooldown (Can be affected by CDR). Each time he switches between elements, he gains 2/4/6/8 and AD/AP (at levels 1/6/11/16) for 4 seconds. *This can stack 5 times for the same duration. Each switch also resets the duration timer.*
Q: Fire Element – Persistent: Basic attacks cause his targets to catch on fire dealing 10/20/30/40/50 + (.1 AP) magic damage on hit and 7/14/21/28/35 + (.1 AP) DoT for 3 seconds.

Water/Steam – Basic attacks blind enemy with Steam for 1/1.25/1.5/1.75/2 seconds. Same target cannot be affected by blind for 10 seconds. Target is also afflicted with Grievous Wound for 4 seconds. Same target cannot be afflicted with Grievous Wound from Steam for 10 seconds.
Steam also inflicts 4/8/12/16/20 (+ .05 Bonus AD) physical damage per second for 3 seconds. Can stack up to 4 times.
Earth/Lava – Basic attacks increase damage of Fire element passive to Lava to deal an additional 4/8/12/16/20 + (.05 AP) and 3/6/9/12/15 + (.05 AP) DoT for 3 seconds. Target drips lava that cools over the duration of the DoT. This is like the blood trail from Talon’s Noxian Diplomacy.
Wind/Wildfire – Attack speed is increased by 8/16/24/32/40% and life steal is increased by 7/9/11/13/15%
W: Water Element – Persistent: Basic attacks cause his target’s attack speed and movement speed to slow 5/6/7/8/9% for 3 seconds. Stackable up to 4 times
Cost: 55/50/45/40/35 Mana

E: Earth Element – Persistent: After 5 basic attacks, Kyro's next attack deals 15/50/85/120/155 + (.35 Total AD) physical damage

Thoughts and explanation behind abilities:
Passive – This passive is similar to Udyr’s, but it is more focused on increasing his AP through changing his elements. Unlike Udyr, Kyro’s abilities grant him effects based off of the combined abilities to give it a twist in changing between abilities.
Q – Fire is the strongest of the 4 elements as it is used to destroy. It burns as long as there is fuel for it. This was chosen as the first ability because it is the most damaging and only damages.
W – Water can slow down the attack speed and movement of champions because it offers more resistance to being able to move around in compared to just air. This would be used to keep the enemy champs from getting too close or escaping.
E – Earth shields your body from attacks whether magic or physical. This boost in armor and magic resist can help you survive being focused.
R – Wind currents can make you faster or slower depending on where they are coming from. This would be used to chase down enemies before switching to Water or Fire.
Combination Elements:
Fire + Water = Steam – There are currently only 2 characters with blinds currently, and this would give extra utility for a short period against AA characters.
Fire + Earth = Lava – This causes an increase in damage because it is the next level of heat for fire. The trailing lava allows you to track your target for 3 seconds after hitting them.
Fire + Wind = Wildfire – This effect causes life steal and additional attack speed because of how fast a wildfire can destroy a forest. It saps the energy from its surroundings until it burns itself out.
Water + Earth = Mud – Moving through water is hard enough which means that walking through mud is even worse. This would be useful for ganks
Water + Wind = Ice – A small ring of ice keeps the target in place for a second before melting. This is a quick CC to make sure the target isn’t going anywhere for a moment.
Earth + Wind = Sand Storm – This wears the target’s armor and magic resist out due to the frictional properties of the sand.
One thing I need to add since I just realized this myself, but already compensated for, 1 or 2 Elemental abilities will not reach level 5. This is the same as Udyr.
How will this affect Kyro's playstyle?
The level of the current ability used will be the factor of the level of the Effect Active.
Example: You have 5/4/4/5 for Q/W/E/R. Any use between Q and R will have no changes. If you go from Q to W or E, your Active level will drop to 4 upon change.
So be wary of which Elements you level up and which you don't.

Tips & Tricks:
Playing As Kyro
- Alternate between Wind to Fire to increase your Attack Speed and Life steal to quickly poke an enemy champion. This will also set off Fire Elements’ passive and Damage over time.
- When chasing an enemy, chase with Wind Element for the increased Movement Speed, and once you’re in range, switch to Water Element to snare and keep them slowed by switching to Earth Element after Water.
- Fire Element and Earth Element are the most potentially damaging. Remember to alternate between Fire, Earth, and Wind to wear down champions in team fights.
Playing Against Kyro
- Kyro has no escapes. Use this to your advantage when ganking
- Kyro’s abilities all have a 6 second CD. Wait till he switches to another ability and loses the passive.
- Kyro deals mainly magic damage. Build magic resist to counter

Looks of the champion itself: Kyro is well built and muscular; has shoulder length, feathered brown hair; blue eyes; and middling height. His clothes were specially made to withstand the use of the elements. The pants were a dark grey with blackish-red runic symbols on them, and the shirt was a dark blue to match the bandana from Raedon that is around his forehead, both also with runic symbols. His boots are worn and black, but also covered in the same symbols. He walks with a determined step.

Looks of the abilities:
Passive - No physical change. If no element is chosen, Kyro's auto attacks are small rocks.... yes rocks. He picks them up and throws them rocks right handed with a side armed pitch. **Challenge Mode** Play a match without using elements 
Critical Strikes - Kyro will put both of his hands above his head to throw a bigger variation of the missile.
Q - Fire - Kyro's arms become engulfed in flames. He alternates throwing fireballs with both arms.
Q Persistent - On hit, the target will have flames appear on them as well as a flaming mark over their head. The flames will flicker for the duration of the damage over time.
W - Water - Kyro's arms will turn blue and drip water. He alternates throwing water orbs that trail droplets of water.
W Persistent - On hit, the target will have water drops falling from their body and they will trail a standard Slow effect for the duration.
E - Earth - Kyro's skin takes the same texture as Malphite. His attacks are throwing boulders the size of Malphite's fist. Boulder's shatter on impact into dust and small rock fragments.
R - Wind - Kyro floats off of the ground with slight wisps of air current surrounding him. His attack is a white, razor thin, circular "Frisbee" (Only way I can describe it without pics just yet)
Steam - whitish steam trails follow the target as well as the standard blind effect.
Lava - Kyro's arms turn a darker color and start to drip lava on the ground. Missiles thrown is like Water, except lava.
Flame origins on target convert to flowing lava for the duration. This leaves a trail of cooling lava for 3 seconds after it hits the ground.
Wildfire - Kyro's arms turn reddish-white and his fireballs become brighter as well.
Mud - Kyro's arms turn brown and start dripping mud droplets on the ground. His auto attacks mechanics are the same as lava. Enemies hit will have their calves and feet (if applicable) covered in mud.
Ice - No change on Kyro from Water/Wind. Target snared has an effect like Ryze's snare effect surround them except that it will be white with snowflakes around it.
Sand Storm - Kyro will have sand particles floating around his arms. His missiles will look like sand darts/spears.
Enemies hit will have sand floating around and dropping off of them with the standard armor debuff effect around their feet.
Teleporting/Returning to base – Kyro sits down Indian style with his fist under his jaw in thinking position. He floats slightly higher off the ground the closer it gets to actually teleporting.

Story:
Long ago in Runeterra, there was a master elementalist, Raedon, who could control all 4 of the basic elements. He was a kind man who would put anyone else’s needs before his own, and he never asked for anything in return. As the tale goes, he married a beautiful woman, and a son was born to them. A few months after the baby was born, an urgent request came from a nearby village about it being under attack. Raedon did not want to leave his wife and newborn alone but could not refuse those in peril. As he was leaving, his wife tied a magic bandana around his arm to keep him safe. When he arrived at the village outskirts, he could see that everything was wiped out. The level of destruction was greater than anything he had ever seen before. There was nothing Raedon could do.
As Raedon returned home, he could see black smoke piling on the horizon where his village lay. He rushed back only to find that it was too late. Everyone was slaughtered and the village lay in ruins. His home was reduced to a pile of burning rubble. He quickly extinguished the fire and searched through the rubble, but all what he found destroyed him inside. All that was left of his wife and the baby were pieces of charred bones and the bandana around his arm. In a fit of rage, Raedon took to the sky and scoured the area for many hundreds of miles, yet he could not find the monster that was responsible for this. He searched from the sky for days until he fell to the ground exhausted. When he awakened, he traveled back to the remains of the village to give everyone a proper burial.
Completely disheartened, he wandered from village to village seeking any who might have any knowledge, but there was naught to find. After decades of searching for even the smallest clue, Raedon gave up all hope of finding who or what caused the devastation. He entered a small mining village on the outskirts of Mogron Pass to try to live the rest of his days in solitude. However, fate was there to make it otherwise. Upon arriving at the village, Raedon saw something that broke him from his sorrow for a moment. He saw a very young boy laughing as he was running from a group of older boys. Normally, he wouldn’t have given children’s games a second thought, except that the boy was using the elements to his advantage. He would use Earth to make walls, albeit small hurdles; air currents to make him run without resistance; water to make mud and slow them down. After evading the much bigger kids for the better part of an hour, the boy was exhausted and cornered, but he was still smiling. They closed in on him until flames started flickering up around his fists. Raedon took this moment to intervene before they actually got hurt. When the boy asked why Raedon was in the way, Raedon just looked at him like a father would his son.
“Where are your parents?” he asked.
The boy looked down as tears started welling in his eyes.
“They were k-k-killed… b-b-by a big m-m-m-monster…” the boy managed to quiver out.
“What is your name, little one, and how old are you?”
“K-K-Kyro… I’m 7…” the boy stuttered out while trying to get hold of his emotions with tears flowing down his cheeks.
“You have a special gift… One that needs to be trained and disciplined.” Raedon said as he showed his mastery and power of the elements. “Would you like me to help you get stronger so you can defend yourself and those your care about?”
Kyro slowly nodded his head. So Raedon stayed in the village and trained the young Kyro like he was his own son. While Kyro still got into mischief with the village’s boys, he grew stronger and more adept in his control over his abilities as the years progressed, and he was able to start to merge them together to form new powers, something which not even Raedon could do proficiently. During this time, Raedon was able to piece something together that he had not noticed. The attacks that wiped out villages were all ones that had or were near reputed elementalists. He also knew that their village would be attacked again by this monster, and that Kyro was not ready to face it just yet.
Raedon sent Kyro on as many journeys to distant towns to help them with the harvests, plow fields, help with irrigation, and mainly to keep him away from the village. Kyro was used to being sent out to help with tasks like these as it was useful to increasing his proficiency with his abilities. Raedon had also had a few talks with Kyro about him joining League of Legends to increase his proficiency, but Kyro brushed it aside as he wanted to stay.
One day, a request came from a village that needed help with its fields. Raedon sent Kyro on his way, and then started writing a letter for when Kyro returned. It took a month to complete the harvest, and as Kyro was leaving, he heard rumors of another village being wiped out in the mountains near Morgon Pass. Infuriated, Kyro hurried back as fast as he could, cutting the normal travel time of 5 days to less than 8 hours. As he closed in, there was an awful stench in the air. As he crossed the last ravine, he saw the ruins of the village, but only half of it was destroyed. He found Raedon, rather what was left of him, surrounded by rotting pieces of what probably was a huge creature. The remains were what caused the ungodly stench. Kyro had to hold his breath in order to get close enough to Raedon’s upper body. It looked like it was blown in half.
There were some symbols etched into the ground near his hand. Kyro bent over and read them.
“Icathia. Void destroying elementals.”
With raging scream, Kyro blasted the Icathian’s pieces to ashes. He then covered Raedon’s remains with a stone coffin, and buried it in the village. Kyro knew that he could not stay there any longer as the village would be attacked again if he remained with them. As his home was unscathed by the destruction, Kyro returned there so he could pack. He noticed the bandana that Raedon always wore on his bed with a letter of recommendation to the League of Legends. He did not want to join them then as he thought that it would stop him from destroying the ones who did this. He packed up what was left of his once again shattered life, tied Raedon's bandana around his head, and started on his own journey for revenge. He soon heard that there were champions from the Void participating in the League of Legends which changed his mind about joining and pushed his desire to repay them for his losses.
He showed up at the gates to enlist…. And exact his revenge upon all members of the Void.

Edit: June 7th, 2012 As was pointed out to me by FlamesofTerror, the AP ratio for Typhoon was too high at .8 AP. I have reduced the scaling to .6 AP.
I also changed Lava's effect from:
"Basic attacks increase damage of Fire element passive to Lava to deal 16/32/48/64/80 + (.2 AP) and 10/20/30/40/50 + (.2 AP) DoT"
to read:
"Basic attacks increase damage of Fire element passive to Lava to deal an additional 6/12/18/24/30 + (.06 AP) and 3/6/9/12/15 + (.06 AP) DoT for 3 seconds". I made this change as there would be a difference in level between abilities that needed to be changed.

Changed Typhoon's unaffected snare duration on target to 9 seconds from 6 seconds as Kyro is ranged. Changed damage to Damage can be applied once per duration (every 4 seconds).
Range changed from 575 to 625. This will put him at only a slight disadvantage to ability range on enemy champions.
