AT A GLANCE
Too lazy too read all that text? Don't leave! Here is a simple overview of my champion.
Cedric, the Blade's Anger
Melee DPS, Disrupter
Ravenous Blade (Innate): New type of resource! Cedric gets 'Bladeforce' from killing champions and minions. He then uses theses to cast his spells.
Q - Angry Blade: Cedric shoots a skill shot that does damage to the first unit it hits. If the unit is a champion, he can teleport to them, doing more damage and slowing them.
W - Hoarding Blade: Cedric passively gets attack and movement speed for a few seconds whenever he casts an ability. On activation, Cedric stores some Bladeforce and heals. The next time he casts, he brings the Bladeforce back, heals again, and knocks units around him into the air.
E - Slashing Blade: Cedric attacks a target doing damage. If he has uses enough Bladeforce, he can cast it again for free.
R - Murderous Blade: Cedric consumes all of his Bladeforce and deals large damage to a single enemy. If he kills them, he gets half of the Bladeforce back and gains armor penetration for a few seconds.
Interested? Read THE DETAILS below and leave a review? Not interested? Could you do it anyway?
THE DETAILS
Hey everyone! I have been working on this guy for a while now, and he just got a MAJOR UPDATE! (see the Update Log at the bottom.) The way this champion works is pretty complicated, so one of the things I need in feedback is a way to make the wording more concise.
Cedric, the Blade’s Anger
Overview
-Gender: Male
-Race: Human
-Land of Origin: Demacia
-Good/Evil: Originally good, then becomes independent
-Role 1: Melee DPS
-Role 2: Fighter, bruiser (multiple ways to play him)
-Weapon: Sword (up to interpretation what kind)
-Range: Melee
-Resource: Bladeforce (see passive)
Cedric is a fighter who relies on farming and fighting in order to fuel his abilities. His champion is centered around his blade, which has control of his mind. He excels at burst damage, but also can hold his own by himself.
Abilities
Passive: Ravenous Blade
Instead of mana, Cedric uses a resource called Bladeforce.
Cedric gains 30 Bladeforce from a kill, 15 Bladeforce from an assist, 3 Bladeforce for every minion he kills, and 2 Bladeforce for every 6 basic attacks he lands (attacks on champions count as two.)
Cedric cannot get more than 75 Bladeforce from minion kills and basic attacks, and cannot get more than 100 Bladeforce total.
While above 50 Bladeforce, Cedric gains 15/20/25/30 base attack damage. All Bladeforce is lost upon death, and no Bladeforce can be gained while dead.
Note: Upgrades at levels 6, 11, and 16.
Q: Strike of Anger
After channeling for 0.5 seconds, Cedric releases a skill shot that deals 50/60/70/80/90 (+0.4 attack damage) physical damage to the first unit it hits. If the target is a champion, Cedric can cast the ability again within 3 seconds to immediately teleport to the champion’s location, dealing 50%/55%/60%/65%/70% of the initial damage again and slowing the champion by 10%/13%/16%/19%/22% of their movement speed for 2.5/3/3.5/4/4.5 seconds.
Each consecutive time Cedric lands the teleport, future casts of Strike of Anger will cost 2 fewer Bladeforce, with a minimum cost of 4 Bladeforce. If Cedric misses the skill shot once or dies, the cost returns to 10. Successful hits on minions neither reduce nor reset the cost.
-Range: 625 on the 1st cast, 850 on the teleport
-Cost: 10 Bladeforce, down to 4 Bladeforce
-Cooldown: 8.5/7.75/6/5.25/4.5 seconds
W: Raging Power
Passive: Whenever Cedric casts an ability, he gains 4%/6%/8%/10%/12% bonus movement speed and 10%/12%/14%/16%/18% bonus attack speed for 4/4.75/5.5/6.25/7 seconds. For every 25 Bladeforce he has (stored ones do not count), Cedric gains an additional 3%/4%/5%/6%/7% movement and attack speed bonus. The passive cannot stack, but can be reapplied.
Active: Cedric immediately stores 25 Bladeforce (making them inaccessible for spells) and heals himself for 45/55/65/75/85 health (+7.5% of his missing health.) He can cast the ability again at any time (minimum 1 second pause after 1st cast) to bring 15 Bladeforce back, plus an additional 3/4/5/6/7 Bladeforce for every 5 seconds he waited before casting the spell again. Cedric cannot gain more than 45 Bladeforce when using this spell. When he brings the points back, Cedric knocks all enemy units around him into the air.
Cost: 25 Bladeforce
Cooldown (Passive) : 8/7/6/5/4 seconds Note: The passive is not affected by cooldown reduction.
Cooldown (Active) : 26/24/22/20/18 seconds (after 2nd cast only)
Range (on knock-up): 275 radius
When cast, the ability is activated immediately upon Cedric himself (a no target-ability.)
E: Slashing Swipe
Cedric lashes out at a target champion with his blade, dealing physical damage equal to 2/2.5/3/3.5/4 times the Bladeforce consumed plus Cedric’s basic attack damage. If the amount of Bladeforce consumed was 25 or higher, Cedric may cast Hurricane Strike at no cost for 5 seconds, dealing the same amount of damage as before.
Slashing Swipe applies on hit effects, but cannot crit.
Hurricane Strike – Cedric deals 50% of the damage he dealt in the previous Slashing Swipe to units in a small AOE around him. Units hit that have at least 50% of their health remaining also have their armor reduced by 5/7/9/11/13.
Cost: 50% of current Bladeforce (Must have at least 2 Bladeforce to cast)
Cooldown: 11/10/9/8/7 seconds
Range (Slashing Swipe): 375 radius
AOE (Hurricane Swipe): 400 radius
Slashing Swipe is a single target ability, must be a champion.
Hurricane Swipe is an AOE ability.
The spell rounds up, so if you have 5 Bladeforce, 3 are consumed. Cedric is not teleported to the champion’s location.
R (Ultimate): Payment to the Blade
Cedric converts all of his Bladeforce into damage dealing 4/5/6 times the Bladeforce consumed (+0.75 attack damage) physical damage to target enemy champion.
If Payment to the Blade deals the killing blow, 50% of the cost will be refunded and Cedric will be able to cast spells for free for 6/7/8 seconds. He will gain Bladeforce normally.
Cost: All of Current Bladeforce (Must have at least 1 Bladeforce to cast)
Cooldown: 90/80/70 seconds
Range: 375
Single target ability, must be a champion.
With the 50% refund, the Bladeforce are rounded up, just as they were in Slashing Blade. So, if you use 5 Bladeforce, 3 are refunded. Again, Cedric does not jump to the champion.

Skin Options
1. Sir Cedric - A knight. He would be wearing a suit of armor, and he would have a lance and shield instead of a sword. On his Q, E, and R he shoots the lance out, showing a long reach. Everything else is the same.
2.Chef Cedric - A chef. He wears a chef hat, is dressed as a chef, and his weapon is more of a knife than a sword. On his Q, he throws a knife instead of a blast of magic.
Lore
Cedric has always been a swordsman. He fought with blades since the age of 6, and by the time he was merely 10 years old he could defeat every other swordsman in his village. Then he moved on, traveling throughout Demacia undefeated in the art of swordsmanship. When he reached 15, Cedric dueled Fiora and was disarmed without a second thought. This didn’t dishearten Cedric at all, as he already understood that losing was a part of fighting. He simply spread out, and traveled to everywhere on the continent. He even managed to sneak into Noxus, and had his own small career there. Unfortunately, Cedric was discovered as a Demacian, named a public enemy and forced to escape before he was assassinated by angry mobs. This didn't stop him either. Everywhere he went, he gained a reputation as one of, if not the best swordsman anyone had ever seen.
One day, while training privately at the Serpentine River, a favorite place of his to walk by, Cedric found himself in unfamiliar surroundings. To his immediate left, there was a magnificent hill with a winding fence around it. Despite it’s glorious exterior, Cedric felt uneasy in its shadow. It seemed to be taunting him. At the base of the landform stood an old hunchback. As soon as he saw Cedric, the man shouted, "Turn away! This hill bears nothing but death for any swordsman, no matter their skill!" Cedric took this as a challenge, and slashed down the fence with a single strike. As the fence collapsed, Cedric turned back towards the old man to take care of him as well, but the man had disappeared, leaving Cedric alone. The great swordsman climbed to the top of the hill where he saw, sitting on a pedestal, a magnificent sword. Cedric could feel the power of it from many feet away. He approached it cautiously and awestruck, when suddenly the blade sprung up from its dais upon its own accord and flew at Cedric in a murderous maneuver. The blade, controlled by some unknown force began to push upon the great swordsman’s defenses. Cedric’s instinct took over and he battled the blade, which was a better swordsman than any opponent he had fought throughout his entire travels.
As they fought, the sun fell and a full moon rose, and still Cedric could not find a way to defeat the inhuman opponent. He was also tiring. After hours and hours, the sword managed to disarm the exhausted fighter. The blade seemed triumphant as it thrust itself into his body, and Cedric crumpled, waiting for death.
But death did not come. As Cedric sank to the ground, the sword began to glow with a red light, feeding upon Cedric’s life. The red light seemed to surround Cedric, and then seeped into him, filling his head with inhuman whispers. As the sun rose, Cedric pulled the blade from his chest with a crazed laugh. His wound healed instantly. The blade had corrupted him with its will and had driven him to insanity. He focused, and the blade let out a blast of red energy it had stored from the souls of the many swordsman it had defeated, including Cedric’s himself. He felt intense power surging through him, and he laughed again.
Cedric traveled for a long time, feeling the blade grow in power with each defeated foe. The more he fed it, the stronger it got. When he heard about the League of Legends, he joined without a second thought, ready to let the sword feast on his foes, no matter who they were.
Endless slaughter is not useless, if it has purpose. -Cedric, the Blade's Anger

Tips For Playing As And Against Cedric
Playing as Cedric
- Make sure you focus on farming. Wait to attack until you can last hit. This will keep Cedric's Bladeforce high.
- When using Strike of Anger early, focus on landing the teleports. If you can get the cost low, it will help your laning ability immensely.
- Using Raging Power can be a good way to both gain more Bladeforce as well as not lose everything after a failed attempt of .
- Raging Power can be a good escape tool. If you have a lot of Bladeforce, save some so you can have the knockup ready in case you get ganked..
- Slashing Blade and Murderous Blade can both be either very strong or very weak, depending on how many Bladeforce you use. Sometimes it is better to wait until you can guarantee a kill.
Playing against Cedric
- If Cedric can't get farms, he is effectively shut down. Try to harass him in lane as much as possible.
- If Cedric has a red glow all around him, that means he is ready to use Hoarding Blade's knockup. Be careful about chasing him.
- If Cedric's Bladeforce are high, he can immediately dish out very large amounts of damage from both Slashing Blade and his ultimate. Be careful he doesn't get to close.
- Even though Cedric is good at dealing out damage, he has no hard cc himself. Don't be afraid of this.
- Cedric can dish out a lot of damage, but then is left weakened for a short amount of time. Focus him during this time, because he will not be good at fighting back.
- Cedric has very little escape power. If you have an advantage, press it as hard as you can.
FANTASTIC Lore Judgment written by Poet Ultima. You have to have read the lore to understand it.
League Judgment.
Candidate: Cedric
OBSERVATION
Denizens of the Institute of War were keen to circumvent the newcomer as he entered; no one had ever dared enter the Institute so openly armed or boasting so wicked a weapon. It was the blade that drew the eye more than the man; a long, undulating kuris blade gleaming a luminous sanguine, leaving a white-hot trail as he dragged the tip against the dark marble floor. Neither sheath nor scabbard was readily apparent; the blade, it seemed, knew no resting place.
But the weapon could only hold the onlooker’s attention for so long; the wielder was not one that could be easily ignored. His wild ebony hair hung scattered in his face, veiling eyes lit with fevered obsession and a manic grin. It was the face of a man who had forsaken sanity in the pursuit of some tireless objective.
He did not slow as he neared the doors of the Reflection Chambers, did not pause to contemplate the ancient maxim scribed above them. If anything, his pace quickened, his gaze becoming more fervent. The sword rose up, a hellish divining rod marking the path toward some absolute end. The blade reared back, glowing brighter, as though in anticipation of a coming kill, and with a cry tinged with mania the man slashed across the marble doors. The strike drew a shower of white sparks and the shriek of tortured stone. The doors yielded beneath the assault, but the blade glowed still brighter, as though unsatisfied.
The radiant blade probed into the impenetrable darkness beyond, the man following behind, as though being led. Onlookers were left to question; was it the man who wielded the sword…. or the sword who wielded the man?
REFLECTION
This was a strange darkness; Cedric did not care for it at all. He could feel The Blade, firm and thriving in his hand, felt it’s power seeping into his palm and coursing through his fingers, but this peculiar darkness smothered even The Blade’s ever-present luminosity. It had been so long since he had been without that unearthly glow…. He could scarcely recall a world not tinged in that crimson ambience. He felt so vulnerable without it.
There was no memory to relive before The Blade. He was a vessel to The Blade’s thoughts, The Blade’s desires. He was the vehicle of The Blade’s will. Who he had been prior was of no interest to The Blade, and it had been done away with.
But there was a memory that the Blade had clung to. A memory that interested The Blade a great deal. The memory of a woman… Quick, deadly, her rapier the only sword fast enough to best The Blade’s current vessel. This “Cedric” had served The Blade well, had fed it kill after kill, but The Blade would not be sated until it had fed from this woman. It needed her…. Craved her. Oh how The Blade longed to be plunged into her guts, to bask in her blood, to taste that killing prowess within her and rob her of it.
And then, beyond that…. This League of Legends, where The Blade could feast and grow, consuming everything in an unrestrained frenzy of infinite gorging. The Blade could sense them, all of them, could smell their power. And soon, the time would come to taste their flesh.
Suddenly, Cedric was there again; an open plaza in upper Demacia, surrounded by onlookers. His old sword lay useless on the tiles some feet away, the back of his sword hand stinging were the woman had raked the tip of her rapier, easily disarming him. He felt the tip of her sword at his throat, tilting his chin up, forcing him to meet her gaze. She was smirking at him, as though amused.
“Why do you want to join the League?” She asked playfully, a note beneath her accent suggesting she was teasing him.
Cedric could not respond. He had been bested. The disappointment of the defeat washed over him again, and beneath it, a growing determination to hone his skills to perfection in the wake of his loss. Never again would his sword-hand be left empty.
With a trill of laughter, the woman whisked her blade away, turning her back and beginning to walk away. The question remained; “Why do you want to join the League?”
He felt a sudden weight in his right hand, a strange warmth. It spread through him, empowered him. Looking down, Cedric was greeted by a familiar ambience.
He had closed the distance in a breath, The Blade driving through the woman’s back and out the other side. The power…. The power he consumed was incredible. Laughing as he basked in the glory of it, Cedric hoisted her into the air, a cadaver flag raised in celebration of the glory that was The Blade.
She hung limply, her lifeblood dribbling down The Blade, feeding it. With dying breath she gasps; “Why…. Do you want to join…. The League….”
“…..Power.” The Blade replies.
She expires, her useless carcass being flung to the ground. And then it is gone. Cedric is alone again in the darkness.
No…. not alone. The luster of The Blade prevails now over the darkness. Cedric stands in an unholy crimson glow. Doors part in the distance, and The Blade leads him toward the feast of feasts.
