so im back from my break from LoL (d3 wasnt quite as exciting as i had hoped) and see 2 new champs. ive seen darius in game and doing well. i havent seen a single draven player. is he just not that great? is he not worth learning? i tried him in a bot game and he seemed to play just fine, a bit awkward but nothing i couldnt learn to do well with.

for reference, my elo was around 1600 last time i remember checking it with lolnotes

First of all, it's not Draven. It's Draaaaaaaaaaaaven.

I've seen Draven be a beast on the Crystal Scar. Hell, I've seen my roommate play a really dirty CritDraven. We both went out and bought him when he dropped and 1v1 dueled with him, and he still won despite the fact that I tried him on the beta.

Draven is an extremely powerful AD carry.

Darius on the other hand is getting alot of hate since his arrival.

He's high skill high reward. He's also pretty situational. I don't see a lot of him bot because he needs mobility to catch his axes to do damage, but bot lane doesnt allow that. If your axe falls out of place, you either let it go and lose out on damage, or try to get it and risk getting caught.

To be honest, the best place I have seen him is solo top because of his kiting ability and way to get out of ganks. I've played him against Darius and even after I have FB I was still able to keep him out of farm and out of lane.

I feel like he is a meta-breaker and is only really good in Draft Mode as a counter-pick to top lane.

I think it just comes down to I have yet to see a Draaaaaven who can catch his axes AND stay out of trouble - it'd take a lot of practice to get him to a good place and either no one in my games has put forth the effort or people have and it's not paying off ):

I've only fought against Draven twice.

The first time, I was Ahri going bot against him..........and well, he left me.........less then impressed. Looking back at it now though, it was more of a skill issue as he constantly stood in my Q's path and stood completely still in front of his minions allowing me free charms. I basically kept forcing him to back whenever he came back into the lane.

The second time I was against one, he went top and **** near dominated it. If their bot wasn't struggling, they likely would have won.

So basically, he can be extremely powerful if you know what you are doing.

He is non existents. He is brand new and isn't nearly seen as in many games. And when--is ignorable. He really doesn't seem to matter in any condition.
