7th item slot for just consumables

I've heard this idea a long time ago. Was riot ever thinking about doing this? It would be so nice especially for supports who are supposed to buy a bunch of wards but late game run out of item slots to do it. I want to see this happen!

not gonna happen
i gave the same suggestion and apparently riot didnt want this feature so u need to make a choice between last item or wards

That's weird. What's bad with this? it is just making things more convenient. I don't think it would ruin anything.

The point is that you made the choice to have 6 full items instead of having access to wards. It's a strategic decision. Now, what I *could* get behind is an item that can hold wards, but has weaker base stats. Would be a total ***** to code because nothing like that is even remotely in the game, but a kind of ward case or whathaveyou that maybe carries up to 7 wards instead of only 5 could be nifty. Hell, give it a small GP10 effect (slightly less than a single infinite ward), and make two of them (pink and green), maybe a small aura effect that's vision-based (nearby allies gain 5% vision range or something).... hmmmmmm This will require some thought. And likely never get implemented since making an item that stores consumables is gonna take a lot of new code.

As long as it was only available for consumables I dont see how this would affect the game negatively. I am all for this. It would allow so much more opportunity late game when you can no longer hold anything.

Saw this just after my post. Coming up with an item that can acrually make wards or even maybe have an item called something bag that can hold one type of consumable would be a fun change. It could actually have a negative affect on ms. Like for every ward you have your movement speed would get lowered. This would be spectacular for supports. Just saying.

I'm some-what on the fence about this suggestion...

On the one hand, I think it makes sense to be required to sacrifice something in order to hold wards, giving your team a tactical advantage in map awareness, while sacrificing a portion of your late-game potential... It's balanced how it is...

However, I also like the idea of a pouch... Maybe just an item, which still requires a slot, but has a small base stat on it such as a few Armour, MR or a small amount of health...
(Maybe 3 different options)

Having GP/10 on this item wouldn't get my support... Maybe if it was a very reduced number, not like Philo or HoG, but maybe 1/4 of their effect, meaning you'll never get back what you paid for it, but the cost of the item won't be quite such a huge strain...

You'd still be making sacrifices in order to ward, but it will be slightly less harsh if we had pouches, which still used up item slots...

Basically, I want supports to get a 6th item which gives 5-10 Armour or MR, and allows them to keep warding, which is quite a lot of programming for such a small stat increase, which is probably why it won't be implimented... But anyway, that's my 2 cents...

Diversity is never a bad thing...

Yeah it would be a really cool idea, but you are very right that the programming would be too much. And they have a lot of items. There focus seems to be strictly in building champs. I wanna see more items and more maps. Maybe some day.

either make a new slot for consumables like pots, elixers and wards or make an item that gives free wards for supports >_>

They won't do it... it's a strategic thing. Last item or slot for wards?
Make sure the support has clairvoyance.
