Fizz is mean to Graves cuz you can get in his face and get away easily. Urchin Strike in and Graves will try and hit you with Buckshot for Max Damage but all you gotta do is pop Playful/Trickster real quick to either get away or dodge Buckshot. The only thing is it uses a lot of mana but if you stick around and get him with P/T slow you can really punish him before he gets away

I surprised no one says Teemo. I always dominate any ranged carry bot lane with Mighty Teemo!

Countering Graves requires good picks, coordination, and effort from both the ADC and the support. An Ashe with a strong CC support can give Graves a hard time early game, or in Leona's case, early game as well as lvl6 and thereafter. However, in most cases, Ashe or champs with range that are relatively similar to Graves will have a hard time against him. Even some of the long range heroes will still have a hard time against Graves if he takes advantage of timing and has the mana to throw a full combo on you. Some will say that once he blows his dash to get near you, he's an easy target. That isn't completely true. If his support casts a followup spell on him when hes near you, he isn't just backing out of the fight, he's staying there to AA you until you're the one that backs out of the fight. Thus, give him a support that can CC and/or sustain and he will abuse you up and down the lane unless your jungler is significantly more competent than his.

From what I've experienced, Corki is probably the best ADC against Graves. While Corki can't really prevent Graves from bursting, Corki makes it a much riskier venture for Graves to try and get the kill. Corki's ult also makes him a great farmer against Graves as well as harasser. Corki also synergizes well with many of the commonly used supports.

Urgot is also a strong counterpick.

Ezreal, Trist, and Kog probably follow that. In lane, these guys will require some solid babysitting. However, if they get an early game item and/or level advantage, then they can really shut down Graves. Furthermore, they scale as well if not better into late game.

Corki is probably a close pick. Graves' passive gives him more tankiness than most AD carries, so I find you have two options, Either shred his passive with Corki's gattling gun or burst him harder and make it so he cannot fight back. Vayne works well for this. Condem him into a wall get off a few AA to have SB proc and tumble out so he cannot retaliate.

I find she's able to burst him at lvl 3 with a poin in each skill, then max tumble first. This gets you out of his smoke, either away from him or towards him to follow up from what your support lays out. I find Alistar/Taric/Leona best for this strat.

With Corki you can out poke him, shred passive and escape easily but will probably not out right kill him.

I hope I don't get laughed/raged at for this, but my experience is nidalee is a great counter, along with jax, alistar, twisted fate, and fizz. heres why

nidalee (ap) - spears traps spears heal spear trap heal spear (repeat until graves == dead)

jax- dodge, leap, stun, wack the hell out of with stick, jump out (repeat until dead)

alistar - smash against wall and butthump him as he rages that he can't cut through you're health armor fast enough to stop your team mates from butthumping him the rest of the way

twisted fate (i go ap...*scared eyes*) - spam q's through his torso repeatedly from safe distance, ready pick a card, stun or aoe as needed, q moar, pick another card, stun him/aoe slow him again (rinse repeat)

fizz- jump on stick to dodge buckshot, land on that mofo's head, q through him, press w, stab once, run and laugh as you watch him rage type a slow death.

Tristana/(Any Support not named Soraka) will beat Graves. Trist outranges him, gains more range per level for AA harass and out bursts him at 6. If you have a Taric/Ali/Leona support. Its an auto win lane if you know how to press your advantage as trist.

depends on support. you have to take the whole lane into perspective. a taric is good against graves for the bonus armor and the ability to stun him off. alistar is strong too for the peel. but there aren't many carries that can counterpick another carry. corki maybe to Valkyrie out of an engage?

I find it kind of funny that so many people are mentioning Tristana, when during the game in question Tristana was our JUNGLER. XD
