I asked around how the community feels about the cardmaster and got the following results:

Guys who played the old cardmaster feel unsatisfied, they wish his old playstyle back but also understand why many users like him.

Those who are new, are either annoyed by his spamming, or love him and want to keep him like he is. As a sidenote, they do not know how the old cardmaster was, and how he developed.

In my opinion, a card spamming card master is appealing and should have his place in the game. But what i would like, is to split cardmaster into 2 champions. One as nuker with spamming cards, the other as ganker/dps as he was in the old times. So beta testers, take your choice !

I agree a ganking champion and nuker should be made out of CM at the moment he only half does two roles. He should be a speciaised champion instead of a generalised champion.

I don't know how the old one played, but he seems fine to me now. I don't like Champions being TOO specialized, since that leads to bad things, especially in blind pick games.

Yes however at the moment the cardmaster can be used as a pusher or ganker if he was seperated into two champions they would only be good at one thing therefore it can lead to a more balanced game.

I try to keep out of these card master debates because they seem to become big and difficult to follow.

My only neutral opinion really is if that people miss him that much, make another champion out of it and slowly tweak the two champions to where they feel decent and balanced.

Though if splitting was not possible, I'd say may as well keep him. The developers probably did it for good reasons.

I voted to change him to whatever his old style was. I didn't play it and haven't much recently, but I really don't like how he plays out right now. QQQQQQQ and hope for the best!

I'd say make two different champions. It's win/win for both sides. And didn't they want to introduce a Joker character anyways( I remember some concept art with dark jester?). It might be time to bust it out again?

making them two different champions sounds good. I really dislike the current Cardmaster (no reason.. hes good but I just dont like him), but changing him will anger some and make some happy. So more threads like this will pop up saying to change Cardmaster back. Not sure if it's worth all the fuss or planning to change a champion who isint even bad...

the current cm concept is fine. he's just OP so he needs a nerf. he should just be an average ganker and average pusher instead of being great at both so this way he's flexible but not OP
