When I'm playing as J4, what should I build against Darius?

I just played a game where I lost lane to one and he told me that if I built different items I could've beaten him easily. I built a Doran's blade, Wriggle's and Merc Treads (the game didn't go on much longer because their jungle Skarner got fed).

He just denied me farm all game and any time I even got close to his minions he'd spin and pull me. So what should I build to effectively lane against him?
