Hi guys,
I recently completed a system restore on Windows 7 to get rid of some stuff, and since then I have been having problems with League.
At first, the League of Legends logo would come up but the launcher would fail and nothing else would start. I fixed this by deleting the lol launcher folder and trying it again, after which it worked.
I then had the league screen disappear after I clicked the play button, resulting in me hunting through the forums and deleting more folders and regaining them through an hour of updates. However now, when I try to start a game, I go through the champion select without a problem but get a black rectangle after the champion choosing closes. I've gotten a couple of leaves from this and it pisses me off.
I tried looking through the forums but nothing helpful was found. I'm not sure what to do. I've scanned my files in my C: folder and stuff, which took 5 hours, yet the problem still remains. I get the same problem if I try to spectate or play custom games, which helps me check if the problem is fixed without getting leaves :P.
I was wondering whether I could have any help with fixing this, either from people that have had the same problem or riot customer support people. I enjoy this game a lot and want to play it well. I can play it on my laptop right now, since it's my desktop that's having the problems, but it's not as fun nor as easy since I lack a good mouse and my laptop screen and resolution aren't good enough for me to enjoy myself. I really hope somebody helps me and I can play this game well again.
I don't really understand that much about firewalls and ports, so I'm sort of wondering if the problem may be related to that. I hope I get help.
