So AD Malz has interested me for awhile and I finally decided to try him out. First game I went up against Draven and got **** on. In the others I held the lane fine, but had trouble going in for the killing blow and generally died only to ganks.

Reading up on it, it seems that some players advise manamune followed by almost all tanky items. Others mention stacking as much AD as possible so your voidlings hit hard. Which have you found to be most effective? As much as I enjoy getting laughed at after going 1/5, I'd like to give him more of a fair shake before I put him on the shelf in lieu of my more reliable bot choices.

LW and Manamune should be enough as long as you're building Odyn's and FH. You could get a Gunblade for more AD and sustain. You shouldn't have any trouble against anything but ranged AD carries, and they suck at bot so just ask for ganks and in the meantime, farm minions because they can't stop you.

I am still relatively new to the AD Malz paradigm, but I'll provide feedback on the experience that I do have.

1. AD Malz is all about AD. Stack AD like crazy.
2. AD Malz is all about AD... from voidlings and their awesome AD ratio. Spam abilities often to keep voidlings up.
3. Keep Malefic Visions on enemy mobs to focus voidlings where they need to be
4. Prioritize Malefic Visions, then Null Zone, then Call of the Void (taking Ult when possible)
5. AS is not usable
6. I've never tried Manamune, but it sounds like a good idea
7. I usually focus on AD items over survivability. But, if you're dying too much, then of course you need to build for survivability. Maw of Malmortius is nice.
8. Take bottom lane. Own bottom lane.
9. Don't forget to use your auto-attack =D

basically what Fdru said, malza is already very susceptible to ganks on Sr mid when the lane is shorter than Dominion's bot witht hat in mind Malza's suceptiveness to ganks greatly increases thus making the former build Fh+Odyn's an effective way to play him, also going glasss cannon in Dominion doesn't really work for the most part, there are champions than can pull it off ( Lux comes to mind) but it's overall a bad idea.

AD Malzahar core items: Manamune, Ninja tabi, Frozen heart, and Force of nature.

The situational items: Frozen Mallet, Ionians, Odyn's veil, and Randuin's omen.

Why is tabi core on him, as opposed to, say, mercs?

I build my malz with Manamune, frozen heart, brutalizer, Maw, LW

I'd say Manamune; Veil; FH; Triforce; Last Whisper; Mercs

you get slowed, you are ****ed. With triforce, you get extra tankyness while getting cool stats.

always beware of when you can summon a voidling right away. Always beware of your positioning.
